What role is Rek'Sai supposed to fill lategame?

Normally when I play any champions even a new champion, I can come up with a general build and playstyle I want to do very easily, based on their stats and their kit. Sadly, for Rek'sai I cant do this. Early it is easy, for for the AS jungle enchant item, follow up with like hydra or BTRK if fed, tanky item if behind. But, once I get past the second item, and the game transitions into mid-game, I dont know what to do.

I feel this is because mid-game she has no defined role. She is too slow to be an initiator/assassin, has too little sticking power to be a good bruiser, obviously cant be a backline carry. It seems like the only thing she can at least somewhat excel at later in the game is splitpushing, but her dueling power isnt even that strong because of her lack of mobility.

Teach me GD. How do I play reksai later.

Also she needs either more sticking power or more mobility or she will probably be bad and stay bad. But I want to know how to play her right now anyways.

she is an assasin fighter hybrid

you opt for good damage and some good tankyness using tunnels to grab the carries

thats what i concluded

I think he's supposed to be a splitpusher like Shaco. Go your AS jungler item + Hydra and split push like a boss when you have opportunity. Ultimate can help you to move to the lane. After, you can decide to go tanky to join teamfights or for a splitpusher/assassin oriented build. Just my opinion.

Unique play style. You could define it as split pushing but its a little more than that since her tunnels allow her to split push multiple lanes at the same time. No joke, you can alternate between pushing two lanes really quickly when done right.

I've heard that her Q has a cap on atk speed, which means don't build too much of it.

Honestly i highly prefer the warrior, you do more spell damage and have armor pen+cdr.

With Hydra+Warrior strangely i can easily kill squishies in like 3 seconds at max.

She's not that bad of an engager, but she relies too much on not being seen much like Fiddles, her role is definitely the one of a splitpusher and map control, she does have decent dueling power, actually i've seen a Botrk-yomama's blade combo to be very effective in duels.

I build her mostly tanky if we have enough damage, if you get fed, try to counterjungle, scout camps with your burrowed Q, make tunnels in the enemy jungle so you can steal>go away, it's so much fun, also, one thing i found very hilarious, if you know there's a squishy champion farming bot for example, make a tunnel from a bush to a lane, stay burrowed, sometimes they just go standing to destroy it and as soon as they do it ride the tunnel and end up down their asses to ambush.

Buy the elixir of ruin to RekTurrets faster, with he base atk speed she does it fairly good.

The only thing she lacks is CC to stick better to someone, so i often get either Frozen mallet and Randuins.

She is supposed to be a split pusher. Her kit is designed to be able to clear waves extremely fast and then escape with her tunnels and burrowing, or get to a team fight with her ult.
