URF and why it's not permanent?

Hi, just a question for you folks out working at riot. Why is URF not a permeant game mode?

  1. Most people in the player base seem to love it!
  2. You would get some really good PR for this!
  3. Honest question, how much work does it take on your guys part for 80 percent cooldown?
  4. Just incase people are scared that some people would make accounts just for URF like people did for ARAM, just make it so either its all random with all champs unlocked, or just with all champs unlocked.
  5. If all champs were unlocked it would solve the problem with people not being able to try a champ they want to buy beforehand, mind you it would be different with the 80 percent cooldown.
  6. Also, not to be mean but honestly I feel like a lot of people really don't enjoy the other games modes? Not sure would like to hear opinions.
  7. Just want a official response.

not draft/blind pick URF, URF would die off incredibly quickly as you will see nothing but the same 10-20 champions every single game which is why ARURF was implemented

Because the game mode gets extremely toxic, extremely fast, and the game get highly stale at a high rate. The game mode in itself would be fine, if it was not for people creating fucking meta's in the mode and playing it to win instead of for fun, in turn creating a horrible experience for the people who do want to play for fun instead. No one wants to see legit every game have a rotation of 10 champs and nothing else except the occasional odd every 100 games, it ruined the mode, which is why it can't be around. Dingus's just have to create a meta in it and ruin the mode for everyone. URF is for fun, not for competitive winning, but dingwads cant see that, so they make it highly competitive and all about winning, which in turn creates a shit experience for everyone.

And when riot tried to fix this all the same stale meta shit by making it random, everyone blew up in their face in outrage, even though they complained about the stale metanising of the mode. So instead of dealing with this shit which was the only viable solution to the problem, they just lock it away and bring it back every so often so it doesn't become stale garbage.

My response isn't official; just my opinion. A big part of why they don't want permanent gamemodes is because of the way it will effect queue times for other game modes. If we had a bunch of different game modes, queue times would be drastically longer that they are now since it would further reduce the amount of players queuing for the same game mode. Putting it on a rotating system allows us to still enjoy certain game modes occasionally without effecting queue times too heavily across the platform.

it makes people realise at an accelerated rate how garbage and addictive league's gameplay pattern is and isn't good for their bottom line.

It kind of gets stale after a few games.
