@Riot Are You All Restricted To 4 Jungle Enchantments Or Something?

http://www.newsoflegends.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Magus-Enchantment-Final-Icon-1-1.jpg Enchantment: Runic Echoes (replaces Runeglaive)

Grants 60 Ability Power and 10% bonus to Movement Speed;

UNIQUE Passive – Echo: Gain charges upon moving or casting. At 100 charges, the next spell hit expends all charges to deal 80 [+0.1 AP] bonus magic damage to up to 4 targets.

This effect deals 2.5X damage to Large Monsters. Hitting a Large Monster with this effect will restore 18% of your missing Mana.

Is there a reason you can't keep Runeglaive as a separate item? 1 enchant for auto based mage junglers and 1 enhant for caster based mage junglers?

Diana Ekko Fizz Evelynn Teemo all love the Runeglaive and sure Fiddlesticks needed an actual caster based item, but now that he does why not just keep both are separate items and finally give jungle mages the diversity they deserve?

I think Runic Echoes will be better to have in the game because it's something all AP junglers can use including fiddle.

Precisely my point but why not keep Runeglaive for the AP junglers that favour on hit?

It's just unnecessary complexity. The goal is to have the smallest possible set of items that supports the widest possible variety of junglers; Cinderhulk for tanks, Warrior for fighters, Devourer for on-hits, and some AP one. In theory, you could add more items, but let's look at Runeglaive and Runic Echoes for a second. They fill the same niche (AoE damage, mana sustain, and clear, intended for AP junglers), which means that one of them should probably go. Although some champions are great with Runeglaive (Evelynn, Diana), many junglers are not supported by Runeglaive (Fiddlesticks most notably); conversely, the list of champions who benefit from Runeglaive but NOT Echoes is miniscule, if it even exists.

Probably the same reason they can't make more custom game modes, like URF available more often.

They take 'resources'.

Keeping a game mode running and adding a new item are in absolutely different realms of resource consumption.

Sarcasm must not be heavy enough today. I did try to point out 'resources'

Because whereas a niche of champions could use Runeglaive to its fullest potential, every single AP based champion can rely on the new Jungle enchant. But unlike the AD items, the mages aren't separated into who can use their abilities more and who can use their auto's in the best fashion. The mages are separated into their mobility, because they all do the same. They all use their abilities over auto attacks, they all use ap, and all rely on their spells for any decent damage.

So since every single mage can make use of 1 item, and not the other, then there's no point in having Runeglaive. "But Diana and Ekko do more damage with Runeglaive" But they simply wont, as Runegliave can only be popped by an auto attack, whereas Diana's Q will now do more damage than a Runeglaive Auto, Ekko's E will now do significantly more damage, and if memory serves, usually people play Tank Ekko in the jungle over ap/assassin Ekko, Right?

Evelynn all love the Runeglaive

Speak for yourself; I am an Evelynn main up to Diamond tier and have been playing her for years. Runic Echoes is strictly a buff for her.

I think it's because it is easier to balance, they can balance junglers around 1 item instead of 2. for example: they tune a champion because it's too bad with 1 item and they make it op with the other, and so on.

that said, im all for diversity, im just making a will guess here.
