I was thinking there should be a few changes regarding Bard and his Meeps Passive.

Overall, there are games where you are not able to collect meeps due to a person afking or something so you have to stay in lane and this leaves Bard unable to scale his meeps. I have two possible suggestions.

  1. it should be kind of like Olimar from Smash bros. That he can "pull" different kinds of meeps which focus on different type of CC, such as root, taunt, stun, slow, silence, etc. This can be incorporated into his shrines so that when he goes over a shrine, he will obtain a different type of Meep and will only produce that type until he uses the Shrine on himself again. Lore wise.. this could be as if he is praying to a different deity for assistance.

Another possibility is the idea of instantly obtaining a Meep of the Next type when he goes over a shrine. So a Bard who laid out 3 shrines already can auto, go to the next shrine + grab the next meep + auto, and repeat. This will allow Bard to always have a potential of an "out-play" by himself by preparing beforehand and saving a specific type of shrine for whatever situation the Bard feels will be necessary at a moment's notice.

  1. Meeps abilities and CC scale better over time in addition to collecting more meeps. So if Bard fails to collect meeps or is simply unable to, he is still a CC threat with his Auto attacks later on into the game.

I don't see that much of an issue with the meeps right now imo. If you already have an afker then the game is almost over, and the point of Bard is to play with a coherent team so you can roam, which requires five players. It''s not that the suggestion is bad, I just think it's a bit unneeded, as if you can farm up a good number of chimes throughout the game by the end you'll have some good burst on that first, all-important autoattack.

Now, if this was a suggestion to buff Bard's HP scaling or heal potential.... I'd agree more. He's just a bit weak in either zone, especially mid game when you are maxing Q.

[Fun tip for ya: Try playing Bard in the jungle, with a hybrid Cinder/AP+HP build. It's a lot of fun, lets you get chimes quicker, and still provides good team benefit as you can drop off heals in lanes and gank with the awesome stun that is Q. (And later meep slows)]
