Tbh, he's still a good mid. He has good poke and silence, good sustain and ability to get away from ganks.

he can roam once he reaches 6 so there might be some use for the ult

The only counter I could rly think of is because he can stop your channels easily

Why would you get Runglaive on Fiddle mid??? The mana restore only works on jungle camps. Your jungle likely wouldn't appreciate you jacking his camps.

His poke isn't that great. When I think "great poke" I think Xerath Q or Ziggs Q. Not relatively medium range of Fiddle E. His sustain is only good until he runs OOM, which a middlesticks is likely to do.
