Nautilus W's Damage can EASILY be negated.

now first of all, i've played more than 600 games as Nautilus, i've played him in Every role, and was successful atleast one time in each.

here's the thing about W, it Forces you to have one thing, without the other, you want damage? risk having it for 2-3 seconds, because that's how easy it is to break the shield, oh you're Tanky enough to keep it even after taking a hit? that probably means you're in mid-late game, which probably means your damage counts for nothing.

going jungle are we? well enjoy your 2-3 seconds shields.

need i to remind you that the shield actually lasts 10 seconds originally?

and his on-hit Damage is applied in DoT Form, and it doesn't stack.

i'm completely ok with this, except for one thing, how Fast my shield can be Taken out, so, i've been thinking..

what if the shield was destroyed in The First 2-3 seconds, Nautilus will have the on-hit Effects for 6 seconds, instead of 2-3 seconds that you probably used to Defend yourself from a said damage?

this way i won't feel like i tanked huge burst at the expense of my W Damage, and it would actually feel rewarding for skilled Nautilus players.

we can remove the Floating shields the moment the shield gets destroyed in the first 2-3 seconds, while maintaining the rest of the his Visual Effects (like the Dark energies and the Lights from his eyes)

By making his W's damage dependent on the shield, it gives enemies a reason to attack him (to reduce his damage) instead of ignore him after he's used his cooldowns.

Even if it's only for a short duration, you will still absorb quite a bit of damage for your team while they get rid of your shield.
