if URF's done one thing this year
It's displayed how "power creep" has affected League of Legends.
Now, I've been playing since Season 3. It's been fun, for the most part. A few rocky patches here and there, but one thing I've always managed to enjoy is the brief interlude between regular games that is URF. Ah, Ultra-Rapid-Fire. What an awesome concept, right? Getting to play champions that you normally wouldn't, because the Meta, or itemization's weird, etc. so on so forth.
This season's been...different, this URF is different. It took me a while to figure out why it was SO stressful this year, compared to other years, but I finally did it.
League's changed too much, and this NEEDS to be the FINAL URF.
Damage is way too high right now, and it's just getting worse and worse. Sure, spamming spells is PART of URFing, but having to run after one spell, 6 seconds into the game, because 5 people rocketed toplane and you don't want to give up that snowballing First blood? That's stressful, at least, to me. In the past, there were a few good champions that had to be banned or picked. Your Hecarims helicoptering about, your FIzzes and Ryze (eventually removed along with Kassadin and Sona) Jax, of course, has always been an issue, but this go'round? I've seen more diverse bans than ever before. Leona, Nautilus, Thresh, I've seen Yuumi banned just because of how obnoxious her heal and poke are. You thought Yuumi/Garen was bad in Regular games? Imagine Yuumi pressing E constantly as she just sits on a spinning top made entirely of swords.
Damage has gotten out of hand, not just in URF, but URF confirms, in the main game too.
