Autofill sucks

Exept it doesn't, autofill is the equivilance of ballance and also proves your true skill. Hello any OTP you just got autofilled to lane you almost never play where did all your "skill" go? Hello only 1 or 2 lanes player that got autofilled somwehere else how come you can't play the same game in a diffrent area? The truth is that you don't try because you expect to perform less than on your main lane or you're just trash and can't play other roles and some of them are actualy way easier than your lane you prioritise...

If you think that autofill is ruining your climb or you just overall hate it here's something: My name is #IDON'TGIVEADAMN and I play Solo/Duo with primary lane Fill and secondary lane Fill, I get all kinds of roles besides support and I don't care which I lane I will play at my optimum level always better than most of people in game and on most lanes dominate them. I don't care if I was playing last game some strong character and next I'm playing fragile support or squishy assasin I am not trash and I know my strengths and weaknesses. How come you can't be like me? So far have positive winrate. Don't need to warmup just jump in straight in ranked my performance always good. Progress of climb is felt.

What's so hard playing other lanes? If you so good at the champ you can play it almost every lane or similar. If you say that you're good but hate autofill because you lose most of the time you get one it's not autofill problem but yours.

Playing a specific lane alot with sometimes going supp or fill to activate autofill protection makes you almost immune to autofill even if it's activated.

I found myself playing more than 20 games on lanes with autofill acivated and those lanes are popular.

Honestly if you can't play autofill you don't deserve to climb imo.

I do not think autofill should go away however it should be changed. If your team has an autofilled jungler than the enemy should have one as well. At the very least games where 1 team has 1+ autofills while the other team has none should not happen.

1-tricking isn't all that bad. When a player doesn't really have a main and jumps all over the place it's the equivalent of trying to write a paper without any structure and format. It's harder to learn core (micro/macro) concepts when a player is forced to tunnelvision on learning champion basic info from scratch each time they play.

Ideally when I introduce friends to this game I start off level 1-29 with aram so they can see what champions interest them. By level 30 I recommend them to shortterm goal of playing 1 champion for about 50 games. Longterm they want 2 roles with 2-3 champions each.

I do get that autofill was designed around matchmaking algorithms to have a healthy sample size from each role to create teams but, realistically this only generates more dodges and more tilted grief games.

Also it's very possible for an entire team to be autofilled vs a team that got their strongest roles. This has happened before in high-elo ranked.

Some roles are too different from others(jngle) and with inconsistency of autofill, game is simply lost in high elo when your jngler is filled vs main.

So yes, autofill, in its current state sucks and ruins games.

All I want is to have same number of fills in each team(Riot will add this) and it would be nice if they faced each others(thats unlikely to happen).

You dont expect all football players to be able to play every role...

some people don't like certain roles so they don't play them, cant blame someone for being bad at something they both don't like and don't understand.

To be honest I think the way soloqueue works itself is the biggest probleme here. Back before riot reworked the queue system at the start of season 6 pretty much every ranked player would be comfortable with at least 3 positions. Because you had to be in order to compete. It was the optimal strategy to climbing. Be flexible and know how to play at least 3 roles.

Right now, you can get the position you want most of the time. And the optimal strategy to climbing in soloqeueu has become "Play one champion only". Back when first pick was allowed to choose the lane he wants, the challenger tier wasnt filled up with OTPs, like it is nowadays.

To me it feels like im expected to dodge the queue whenever im autofilled or cancel the queue whenever it takes longer than 2 minutes to find a match. Because the most optimal strategy to get the best results in the current version of soloqueue is "play only one champion".

I am an OTP and can jungle just fine. The problem is its not a lane i can carry in theres a difference. So if the person who got my role sucks theres nothing i can do about it. Thats part of the reason why people hate autofill so much. People who suck at autofilled position is another reason. You can whine and complain about OTPs not like autofill but you also have to deal with those same OTPs being autofilled in your games.

Except I do decently everywhere except jg maybe. I main top and mid but can still supp or adc. The problem is our top/ mid now feed their asses off. What does it matter that I am a good Braum and my MF is solid- top suck, mid sucks. We get 4 manned under tower.

Listen here guys I don't endorse autofill expecialy if it's onesided or everyone get's autofilled etc. but it's mainly aimed at people just complaining about autofill in general.
