free dodge when your team bans your champ

It's all in the title. Obviously I'm talking about the situation where you already picked it. Why is it even allowed? It's clearly a violation of the summoner's code. Of course it wouldn't be allowed withing premades, and might need tweaks in higher elo, but it seems a pretty good solution until diamond

I'm allowed to ban champs I don't like playing against or with, idc.

cTJay1 votes

nope, you're able which is different. Under the summoner's code, that's forbidden. But np, ban your team's champs and see how it goes ahhaha personnally that's guaranteed trolling

FOR JUSTICE2 votes

then again you could abuse this by op.gg'ing teammates then banning their declared champion once you see it looks like a loss. they can see this as well and just bite the bullet.

in either case though ban > pick.

cTJay1 votes

no, because the penalty would be on them. You can also wintrade, buy boosts, script.... Isolate and exceptionnal abuses are preferable to constant trolling

Your teammates have the right to ban your hovered/intended pick if they have reason to believe you intend on trolling, or if your pick compromises the team composition in a way that would most likely result in a loss.

cTJay2 votes

no they don't lol, don't speak and spread nonsense when you have no clue

4 Step Cadence2 votes

Yeah, they do. This game is about teamwork and cooperation. If someone is intent on trolling, you have to either say something or ban their pick. For example, I'm not going to let my (autofilled) support bully me into giving up my role just because they hover Draven and threaten to int. That's not how this game, or the world in general, works. I have every right to ban their Draven, because their intentions in picking him are malicious.

cTJay1 votes

nah they don't lol. It's in the summoner's code. If you're intentionally preventing someone from playing their champion, you're both toxic and ruining your team's chances. Doesn't matter "muhhhh I have rightsss to click buttons", you're just being a nuisance. And that's the best reason for a ban. Not the pathetic "ohh I'm such a weakling I need protection from big billions dollars companies from evil words on a screen that destroy my void soul"

4 Step Cadence1 votes

Yeah, they do. Stop supporting trolls who have every intention of ruining the game for you by going Sion support, never building Relic, and inting in ranked. Or the previously mentioned Draven, also in ranked.

Not anyone else's fault you're a one trick. Even Trick2G plays more than Udyr well.

cTJay1 votes

Learn to read, never said I was a one trick. Not your business anyway. It's your fault if you're trying to derail a topic, and it's not working.

"You didn't derail me" Responds and is thus derailed.

so you coudln't understand the initial post and you don't understand that word either. Seems like the ones against my idea arent very bright ^^

People don't like your idea because it is an easily abused idea. I guarantee the following situation would happen. Someone looks up their team. They don't like their team. They ban someone's intended pick to give that person a free dodge with no penalty in hopes that they take the dodge.

There is also this situation that would happen. People would pick up on this and just auto ban eachother's picks every single game allowing for a free dodge if they don't like the enemy team comp. This would drastically increase queue timers.

cTJay1 votes

I never said the dodge would be free for the guy who bans. You ban, you suffer dodge penalty. I already predicted what you said, premades would get dodge penalties too.

ROYALR3IGN1 votes

It's not against the summoners code and Riot has stated this many times. I can't find be bothered to find the posts but this isn't the first thread of its kind and I doubt it will be the last.

As for a free dodge... I doubt it will happen. People will bait with troll intent picks like showing Yuumi in a lane or something, if they don't get a desired role or something. So it seems really abusable.

of course it is : 1)Support Your Team 4)Enjoy Yourself, but not at Anyone Else's Expense 5)Build Relationships 6)Be Resolute, not Indignant 9)Lead by Example

It's a much more serious offense than flaming

The only part where it could potentially violate the summoner's code is the "Support your team". However, when a champ has a 40-45% winrate, banning this champ that your team wants to play could actually be supporting the rest of the team. Don't forget that your teamates have obligation towards other players, not just you.

ROYALR3IGN1 votes

Everyone is given one ban it doesn't matter if Tyler1 is on your team hovering Draven, **Riot **will side with you if you choose to ban Draven. End of discussion. Everyone is free to ban whoever they like, which is why there is a warning saying that someone on your team has hovered the champion as opposed to not letting you ban the champion at all.

As for it being a much more serious offence than flaming? Hahaha no. Not even close. Profanity will get you banned faster than straight up inting unfortunately which is stupid since you can do something about a shitty attitude (mute) but you** can't **do anything for someone inting your game.

Your idea is bad and you should feel bad.

cTJay1 votes

my idea is perfect, why you like to spread toxicity? It's simple, "be a decen human being", you know?

Kanzler2 votes

Alright, I'll bite and actually give you reasons as to why your idea is bad.

  1. Easily abused that would result in people sitting through many many more lobbies, thus increasing the time to get into a game. Bad.

  2. If it were against the rules, why is it a feature that has existed since implementation? Surely riot could easily make it so hovered picks cannot be banned by teammates.

  3. I get to ban whoever I want. As the game has worked since the start, bans have priority over picks.

  4. Catch up on your references before whining about "spreading toxicity"

cTJay1 votes

you're gullible.

  1. The only way it would be abusable is in the same way as wintrades. Which is extremely rare, bothering, and not very efficient anyway
  2. because riot is hypocrite, simple as this
  3. lol no, you're not the one who decides. I also get to int however I want. See?
  4. you're the one who needs catching up someone who is milions years ahead of you lol. Basic geometry.
