Who do you think is the healthiest assassin in the game?
Riot has stated they think Zed is but everyone on here seems to disagree so who do you think it is then?

exists there's no such thing as a healthy assassin.
Zed is not necessarily the healthiest assassin, but I'd argue that he has the healthiest pattern for his actual assassination (if not fed to hell and back, that is). Between the delay on R's proc and his need to land additional abilities, there is a lot both he and his victim can do to make the assassination succeed/fail. The unhealthy thing about him is how strong his laning phase is between being energy-based, having access to waveclear and an easymode last-hit tool.

In general I prefer JGL-Assassins since IMO what amkes most Assassins toxic and obnoxious to deal with is not their Assassination-Pattern. It's their laning Pattern!
Look at Zed: His Assassination-Pattern is indeed fine and healthy. But his laning is the most obnoxious and stupid thing ever created for Mid-Lane. And I've no clue how anyone could ever call a Champion with such an oppressive lane healthy! D:
Same for Ekko - TFs: Cool Kit interesting to play/play against. But lane?.... QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ #FUN
Zed is definitely the healthiest and balanced Assassin.
Probly eve oddly enough if she got a few very minor tweaks. Quinn?kha maybe?
It's Zed in my opinion. Ignoring the fact that damage is so retarded he can reach the point where he kills you with just E-AA-Duskblade, his kit has a reliable damage mechanic (ultimate) that makes him a consistent threat, but not one that's impossible to deal with. It's not like LeBlanc where her delay GATES her damage outright, meaning that you can't just go ham with your mekonix and dump all your abilities instantly.

Upfront burst that is conditional, takes skill to position for the bonus back stab damage, doesn't have a free escape.
Zed and maybe Eve. Both have clear defined points of assassination that you can play around: Eve's charm, the delay from Zed's ult and the fact that it doesn't deal damage unless he stays to deal that damage.
BTW, that's what Riot means by Zed is the healthiest assassin. Not necessarily that he is always balanced, but that he has clear counterplay that a good opponent can use to fight against him.

maybe? His ult, as strong as it is. has a long warning, and his full damage comes gated from proccing his fear, giving plenty of time for a cleanse/qss, shield, zonyas, etc.
The problems with the class is that their "assassination" comes in the form of massive burst, where other target-picking mechanics could exist to fulfil the fantasy of taking out a key target when they're vulnerable.
's isolation mechanic is a good solution but is overshadowed by some broken interactions he has currently
have some mechanics designed to pick off low-health targets (say, while they're recalling or after expending cooldowns and backing off) but aren't designed cohesively around those mechanics
Some non-assassins have good picking mechanics of their own that fulfil similar roles.
ult is explicitly designed to take out his desired target
and to an extent ults isolate a target from their team, and all of these characters could be proper assassins if their kit numbers were tweaked in favor of offense rather than defense
