Game Grades

Dear Riot,

When are "game grades" going to start actually meaning anything? Isn't it about time that players who consistently play better than the "C" average of players from that game or of players of similar skill level, be rewarded? And not just "rewarded" with mastery. Perhaps not so much LP lost if I grade an S and still lose the game? Instead of -17 LP, it is -15 or -14? And start matching players who consistently play well and play poorly? This would also help prevent against teams that just simply roll-over another because they just all happen to be players who play well, and the other team is just full of people who either don't care, or don't want/can't play well. W/L seems antiquated with how much attention has been given to individual rewards this most recent patch...(shutdowns, towers, etc.)

If a player is consistently performing better than the average, so B-, B, B+, etc., he/she should be rewarded. And if a player continues to play poorly time and time again, a punishment more severe than the "normal" LP loss. This may in fact help deter inting, and also may help curtail players getting upset with teammates, as they know as long as they perform well, and even if they lose, it won't be as bad as if they play poorly consistently. And any severely poor games, should be slightly more heavily punished regardless of "just having a bad game." But people have bad games, so this may be contested. I'm sure someone may find a way to abuse this, but it is just a thought. Trying to carry games, where a player is not playing well intentionally or unintentionally, as I'm sure many have experienced, is frustrating to say the least.

The grading system could even be tweaked to give even higher rewards for more assists than should be expected for any role, as this helps keep the idea of "team play" as being the most important or highly rewarded aspect.
