Udyr in aram

I just played a game with my friend in Aram and I just realised at which point Udyr needs a rework. When it comes to my level of gameplay, mobility is everything. So when a game starts off in Aram and you see Udyr on your team, you know, you lost. Udyr has nothing, legit nothing. He can only stand there and tank. He has no from of gap closer, so he cannot approach the enemy and has no way of pocking the enemy, which is utterly useless in game modes like Aram. No matter how bad the champion is Udyr is the only one that is a fully melee champion with no poke and no gap closer. I suggest we ban him from Aram

Udyr is a lot better than people give credit for. Max W, bear slap anyone who engages on your team, learn to hit and run.

Nothing in League of Legends is built to be balanced around ARAM. Let's just begin with that and the fact that most melees are at a decided disadvantage on the Murder Bridge. Even the ones with Gap Closers. They will never make even a single change to any champion or item with the spirit of balancing ARAM.

If you're going to ban anyone from ARAM, make it Sona. o_o

Map aura, Guardian items, and several champions (e.g. Garen, GP, Bard, Nasus, Shyv) all have had changes for the purpose of balancing ARAM. Whether or not that balancing succeeded is a separate discussion, but the intent was there.

No, they never have. They adjust ARAM as a whole, and that is all they do with it. Example, Guardian Items that only exist on ARAM as a way to offset starting at level three with bits and pieces. Removing all gold gen Support Items from ARAM because they were just OP there. Tinkering with the healing penalties, ect. They do not balance champions around ARAM in any way.

100% of their balancing effort goes onto the Rift. That is where they make their money. You would be a fool to believe otherwise.

You are slightly wrong. Some champions do have ARAM specific tunes. For example Shyvana gets passive bonuses for Tower Destruction instead of Dragons in ARAM. Veigar and Nasus get their stacks in Howling Abyss faster. GP most likely gets his special currency. There are probably others, but I don't remember/know them at the moment. However, Riot in general doesn't tune Champions specifically for Aram, but they do occasionally do slight tweaks here and there like the above.

Also, the OP's claim that Udyr in team is autoloss if false. I have seen plenty of good Udyrs, who follow Dubshoka's style of Udyr play (above) and have contributed massively for the win of the team. I suck with him though.
