Hey there! Jungle main here, and I'm happy to help.

First off, what does your champion pool look like?

What rune and mastery pages do you have available, and which are you using for what champions?

What order are you taking for your jungle path, and at one points are you looking for opportunities to gank, to counter jungle, or to continue farming your own?

If you aren't doing well in the new jungle here's my tips for you.

Always build this item 3713 and possibly this item 3725 if it works on your champion. This is THE most forgiving item combination for the new jungle. It helps your clear, and gives you some much needed sustain and tankiness.

This jungle is all about making the right strategic choices, and is punishing when you make the wrong ones. Here are some guidelines for you:

  1. If you are behind your bot-lane in levels, then you haven't farmed enough and are probably not going to be very effective in skirmishes and ganks. Farm your jungle till you are back up in levels.

  2. If you have nothing to clear in your own jungle, or if you'll take too much damage from doing another camp without summoner 11 , then you should probably look to gank. Look for the easy lanes to gank that are overextended or the lanes that the enemy are already losing. These lanes are usually the ones that you'll have the most success ganking. Make sure to smite raptors before you head over, because this will ensure you don't waste much time if the enemy has their lane warded.

  3. Smite the golems or gromp if you need to farm. Smite Raptors if you're going to gank.

  4. Ignore the scuttle crab unless you or the enemy are about to make a play on dragon or baron. Otherwise, its a waste of your time to clear.

  5. Neutral monster control is REALLY important in this new patch. Always make sure to pay attention to dragon and baron timers (as well as buffs and enemy camps if you can) and just control the jungle and stack up on those dragons. If the game is fairly even, you can tip it in your favor by getting more dragon stacks or baron. It's really hard to siege inhib towers without baron or a ton of dragon stacks, so MAKE SURE TO CONTROL THOSE OBJECTIVES. Make sure to buy pink wards and get crab control before you attempt baron or dragon.

I can't emphasize how important controlling dragon and baron is in this preseason. Those buffs basically win the game for you, as getting 5 dragons basically means you win the game for your team. If you have 3 dragons while the enemy only has 1, this puts you in a really good spot to win the game.

However, in general, the jungle is all about making the right choices, so it takes a while to pick up. Once you play it for a while, you'll start to develop a jungle sense about how you should play. When you are just learning, try and just focus on neutral monster control and farm - this will make you at least a neutral force in the game. Start to gank when you are confident in your ability to get you team neutral objectives and stay up in farm. Good luck!

Don't jungle that often, but when I do I play Rengar or Sejuani . I can do my first set of clears just fine (krugs or gromp then buffs). It's after that though that I start sucking. Either my lanes are all pushed and I can't gank, or they're all losing and I can't do anything.
