yasuo has the same early game problems as vayne

he DOES have a bad early game, he really does. but the amount of tools he has in his kit to baby him and protect him in lane is just RIDICULOUS. twitch has arguably the worst laning phase in the entire game, and the only thing he has is a delayed stealth. yasuo has a shield, a projectile mitigation tool, a dash, a knockup, it's disgusting. vayne is the same way. she has invis, a short-distance dash and a knockback that is unbelievably aids. you cant make a champ with a bad early game and then give him so many tools in his kit that just nullifies his early game weakness.

There is a huge difference between Yasuo and Vayne/Twitch. Know what it is?

Yasuo is melee. Twitch and Vayne can fight their opponents without being right next to them.

Yasuo is also not nearly as safe as Vayne. Vayne has a point and click knockback/stun, a dash that doesn't require an enemy to use, and invisibility.

Yasuo gets tools to help him survive because melee carries need them. It's the same reason Tryndamere has five seconds of undying.

Yasuo is only semi melee. His Q has enough range/low enough CD to partially negate this

There is no way Twitch is the worst champion for the lanning phase.

He has range.

Ranged AAs allow for a substantial advantage vs. dealing with minion aggro, towers, CSing, not getting zonned, not getting hit, etc... Range offers a substantial advantage in lane.

There are plenty of melee champions with a worse lanning phase. You also 100% have to be melee to have one of the worst lanning phases.

Thats not really true. His earlygame is pretty strong actually, his problem is early midgame into midgame if not fed. He bullies most champions from level 1-5 after my experience. And he has lower base health stats than sona and has no reliable escape in lane, this champion is by no means save and overprotected, bronze thread. And guys, please stop bitching about vayne, 90% of you cant play her anyway. How can threads like that even get upvoted? Is everybody in this subboard bronze or silver? And actually a legit " ahri is too strong currently" thread gets downvoted. I guess if you want upvotes here then you have to make the most bullshit thread you can imagine.

No, Yasuo does not have a bad early game. Yasuo has potential counterpicks. He also automatically dumpsters a subgroup of champions. It's called a binary gameplay style, his kit is full of it, and it's a part of why he needs a rework.

"He's got a bad early game, except he usually doesn't."

His early game is fine. Search your brain, you know it to be true.

Too bad.

There truly is a difference between having a bad early game and having a bad early game with the tools to mitigate that.

Also, Vayne and Yasuo get 'extra effects bonanza' type ults (like Riven)

The problem with his ult is that it takes absolutely zero contribution from Yasuo to make use of it. All he has to do is wait for one of his teammates (who inevitably built around him because the Yasuo main is a god amongst mortals and demands to be worshipped) to knock a few people up and bam, he ults and blows them all up. I actually saw a post from 2014 where Rito mentions they didn't like that fact that he was "teleporting into fights from miles and miles away". Their solution? Nerf his ult range from 1200 to 1100. Great job Rito.

I made a post about it but he seriously needs a nerf on that range. He shouldn't be able to completely sit outside of a fight only to be able to ult in and instantly kill 1-3 people. Nerf that shit to like 900, or whatever the range of his Q is so that he at least needs to be near the fight and actively contributing to it before he just completely shits on your team.

IMO he's more frustrating than Fizz. At least Fizz actually has to go for his kills, whereass Yasuo just derps around until someone gets a knockup.

Protection in lane against his opponent yes. Protection after lane? Almost not existent unless his team does it for him. Fighters with CC and gap closers destroy him because he only has a point and click dash, no mobility after that. Riven XinZhao Fiora JarvanIV Renekton Irelia and so on completely dumpster him. As for vayne.... she has 245247 escape mechanics one of which is a point and click knock back 2 screens away. So not similar at all.

I wouldn't include invisibility in this list, considering that's her ultimate. :/ It can be used in emergencies, but it's not up every 10 seconds to baby her.

I've been balled up by Twitchs passive and expunge at low levels a few times.

It hurts

I think his laning is fine vs most champs, he doesnt win all ins in a lot of match ups but his level 1 and 2 are pretty strong in a lot of situations. He has the tools for farm out a lot of his losing lanes and his scaling is really good because of his passive.

A bad Malzahar1 votes

His early game isn't bad he just can't all in you...but he can kite you around the minion wave if you are a melee champ with his superior autoattack range and Q, so you can't even trade autoattacks with him. Mages can't really poke him cause of his shield, since they don't want to waste mana on it, they have to autoattack him first to pop it which draws creep aggro which hurts alot in the early levels.

I would say like Amumu has the worst. Cause he wasn't meant to lane. The best he can get is good trades then backing off.

Vayne doesn't get invisibility until her ult. Post-6 Vayne is when she starts to become a nightmare.
