For those of you not clicking it i'm gonna be writing the whole thing again
BUT FIRST!!
Let me lay down some ground rules
Don't ask "what do you mean by tank," or say "they aren't tanks they're bruisers" OK look, I don't want to be driving a stick up your butt but seriously, a tank is someone who is putting most of their build into health/armor/magic resist, a bruiser is literally the same thing, stop trying to defend your "favorite role". now to the main discussion,
So when I play league I see some characters that I think are a little unfair, but not the most ridiculous things in the game. There are a couple out there that are squishies who I do still think are op, namely Fizz. But besides Fizz and the fact that Kat can insta burst entire teams sometimes, my main problem is something different (as you might have guessed from the title). Idk if it's just me, but I find that a lot of tanks are ridiculously op right now. Now I'm not referring to Darius or Jax or Udyr, although they are quite powerful. The people I'm referring to are people who can sometimes be the tankiest people in the game, but seemingly have no sacrifice in power and no set playstyle.
Now my problem overall is this. Take Nasus for example. I've seen many people play Nasus, and go full tank items. Now that gets you pretty tanky by end game. However, even when I use AP, and they have almost no mr, and i have more mp then they have mr, I still can't deal heavy damage. That makes sense, he has a lot of health, he built health as well I can understand that he's a tank after all. But then he walks up to me, and I can't kite cuz of his slow, and does half of my health in one hit...... WHAT!
He built no damage items, only tankiness, why is one hit from him stronger than 5 from me, when almost all I have is damage? I mean seriously, the only item that gave me tankiness, also gave me magic pen, lisandry's torment. And even with that health he did half my health. He has no reason to be allowed to do so much damage, that's not what a tank is for.
When I hear tank, in almost any game, it's someone who can take a lot of damage, but doesn't deal that much damage in return. Yes they may be able to beat a damage dealer in a one on one, but not because they deal more damage. Instead it's because they last longer, so there damage is more of your health than yours is of there's as a percentage. However, this nasus did more damage to me in actual numbers than I did! And again, i had more mp than he had mr, and I had ap. I couldn't deal any significant damage to him though, he didn't even ulti. Now ik there are those of you who are going to say "well he probably used his q on you, his q stacks, how many stacks did he have?" And to that I say that first off, nasus is just one example, I have plenty more with people like nasus that don't stack like he does. And secondly, try taking veigar and building only tankiness. Now farm your Q, and tell me how much damage you can do with it after you've farmed 100. What's that? Not half of someone's health? Oh so the fact that nasus farms isn't the reason then. No it's because he is given free damage for nothing. It means that if he were the same level, with no items, he would still deal that much damage to me, it wouldn't change. He might even beat me. And that is ridiculous.
See the problem is that if I use one character for a certain role, I should always be sacrificing another use for that character. eg. If I build tanky with an adc, will I do tons of damage? Well the answer to that is, no you won't, you won't do much at all. And you won't even take or deal as much damage as the tank that built tanky. Now let's look at a different scenario. Let's say a tank builds AP or AD or something like that. Will they be tanky? Yes they will probably be more tanky than most. And that alone would be fine, but their damage scales just as well as other people's damage. Which means that I can go full AP chogath, deal as much damage as a Karthus, but take virtually 0 simply because I'm chogath, and also on top of that, because of course your chogath, you can get away without purchasing any health because ur ultimate, on top of being stronger than Darius' in my opinion, gives you like over 1k by the time you've feasted a lot. So you deal damage, and your tankier than most people.
So in short the problem is that tanks don't live up to their role as tanks. I've seen more tanks carry games than I have adc's, in fact I rarely see an adc actually carry a game, it's usually the tank that insta kills me and the adc running from me.
Also, something I've figured out after playing for about a year. Whichever team has the most tanks wins. I'm dead serious when I say that I've never seen a single team that had more powerful tanks, like nasus, olaf, riven, taric even, etc., then our team did, lose a single game. Honestly I feel like the team with the most tanks wins every time. I literally never see an exception to that rule, the tankier team always wins. You don't even have to be a tank, if you're team is just naturally the tankier team, but still deals even half decent damage, you win, and in fact, you should be able to win in under 20 min.
Now this was at a point where it could be ignored before, because you were probably only going to have two tanks, where the enemy might have one. That was usually the only huge advantage. But as of the new update, you can have three very tanky people on one team. Tanky supports are now more powerful than non-tanky supports, because they can afford so much more than they used to be able to. And because tanks are essentially the best at scaling in the game, they will essentially be another top player by the late game. It's getting to the point where if you're not a tank, you're not winning. The only people that ever solo tanks, are fed adc's, which are much easier to shut down than fed tanks I might add. And even then, it's barely. And you might say that because an adc can do that, it's balanced. But that adc will only take one down. once the adc is down, the remaining , say two tanks, and 2 other people on the enemy team will destroy your remaining four people in almost all instances. The adc is the only thing that can stand up to a tank, and it's still a close call. The thing is karthus can't stand up to a tank at all at late game, the tank gets away with almost full health. Which makes sense I suppose, he does counter me after all. but if adc's are supposed to be a counter for tanks, why are their fights even close? I mean seriously these behemoth's aren't tanks like in most games. I've seen them one shot people, I've seen them destroy teams like it's nothing, but no matter how fed I get, I can't do the same back to them. I will never successfully be able to do that. And that's what's ridiculous about it.
Ok now for my own addition
Not only are these guys stupid, they all have the same freaking play style
lately riot is all like "we are looking for champion diversity" when in reality every tank (OR BRUISER you little baby) just picks up one or two damage items (99% it's ravenous hydra and a black cleaver) and then they simply go fully tanky and are IMPOSSIBLE to shut down.
some of you may be like OH THEY ARE SACRIFICING MOBILITY but like seriously who cares when a freaking Darius with 300 Armor and 4000HP can burst you down as fast as an assassin.
now speaking of items, there are a lot of ITEMS mainly AP that support the idea of being tanky and doing damage,
For Example:

(Doesn't really give you damage but makes it basically impossible for the adc to kill you)
These are only a small amount but most of not all of these are AP items, so ap tanks like Moaki or Sejunai can grab these and Simply Have a ton of HP but still dish out damage.
I really find it repetitive and unfair going against tanks and simply getting an easy loss
i really feel like a tanks playstyle/role should be reworked and be given some thought
Just for an example me and my friends like to go troll full tank/bruiser comps and we go against the normal every day meta and WE WIN WE HAVE LITERALLY PLAYED 7 GAMES OF FULL BRUISERS COMPS AND WE'VE ONLY LOST ONE
Thats all I have say
