Question about flex queue

So my friend told me that at the end of the season that the rank that actually matters and gets you end of season rewards is solo/duo queue, i got placed in flex queue and i was gonna play a good amount of my ranked in it. Am i gonna have to worry about switching to solo/duo queue to get the rewards at the season or can i ranked grind in flex?
