What if we made Elo points in rankeds being dependent on the impact on the game instead of win/lose?
I mean, what if Riot made an equation like:
LP = kills + (assists / 2) - deaths + (0.01 × total damage dealt by all champions × damage dealt by player) + (0.01 × total amount of damage shielded by all champions × amount of shielded damage by player)... and so on, can contain CS, heals, total time on enemy champions spent under player's CC, I bet Riot could make up some cool things.
The idea is, that it would be more player-focused, since the division system rates players, instead for team focused, while one member can truly screw up the whole game for one team.
In the start of the game, we could all have like -20 LP and gain them or lose them based on our actions. The rank would be more accurate for players, because it would prevent carrying and pnish AFKs, every player would need to do their job, at least something. Of course the equation would need to be adapted to judge every champion's playstyle equally.
What do you think?
