Cool MordeKaiser ideas to help him feel... fulfilling.
So I have sketches, but I don't have a scanner, so I guess... imagine? ... ... Any who, The current Mord, i can tell, is supposed to be this CC'less Monster, who when he gets into a fight, he just ramps up and deals large amounts of damage, however; with his current changes, his damage his off-hand burst + some DOT + some weird third strike Nuke. So the Idea I had came after literal Months of pondering it. Cause obviously balancing a Champion as Unique as Mord would be a handful. I'll lead with this point.
- His Passive, W, and Ult I wish to remain unchanged. I like what they have become after the Juggernaut update.
- His Q and his E are where I can assume his power his lacking. So my ideas are to bring him closer towards a slow moving Metal Monster. targeting how his Q and his W interact.
- Remove the strange 3 hit Nuke. it makes Mords damage inconsistent and unreliable. Instead make it a chargeable Aoe Crush. like a strange baby of Poppy Q, Sion Q, and Varus Q. Because Mord has no CC outside of itemization, change his Q to where if you just tap it, he strikes the area in the direction of the cursor, for a moderate damage and area, OR you charge it for a few seconds (a larger health cost for charging the ability after cast, but refunded if it times out [think Mundo E]) and release it for a larger area in direction of cursor for Massive damage. it would allow players to gauge how strong they are about to crush. The animation would be the current third strike animation, effects for clarity of charge are up for debate because of Mords old Model. Low base numbers but astronomical scaling (typical Juggernaut). He should be able to move while charging, stunning should auto cancel as opposed to auto cast.
- His E currently feels useless. It benefits a more ranged burst fight as opposed to Battle Juggernaut who breaks your spirit. not to mention its cone of damage is so thin that in a melee fight I find that I miss it because they are just outside the thin needlepoint that is its origin point. for starters, have the cone start at the edges of his model. it can be shrunk in length due to its now thick width. But about a .5 second delay on cast that deals the same damage, offers the same Passive Shield, can charge his Q while casting, and landing his Q on multiple targets drops its CD by X/target (fraction it for minions). This would give him crazy team fight power and sustainability as long as he was wading into fights AND the reduction count for minions would control his single lane power.
So final thoughts on these ideas are, He would still be a burst centered fighter, but his damage would be reliable, he would survive longer while on CD due to the wider hit radius he would possess to fill his passive up. in a one on one in jungle he would be weak to fighters and carries, as he his still subject to being kited, and his damage comes in strong bursts, and then you have to either wait, or rely on a support to protect you while you wait to crush them some more.
