AFK's ruining ranked

So you wasted 20 minutes or more on a ranked game, then lose 10-25 lp because of that one person who rage quits and afks. Riot, this is basically screwing over people in ranked. I think that the people who win the game get the lp that you get for winning, and the people who had the afk get a loss prevented, because 1 person afking is almost certainly going to make you lose that game. If Riot actually cared about afk's more than toxic players (which are still a serious issue, but afking people are more serious), this wouldn't be a problem and people wouldn't be wasting 20-40 minutes trying to win a 4v5 game. I'm tired of afk's ruining my ranked games, because if you go into ranked, you shouldn't afk because that just means you're an ass who just trolls and then screws over your team.

Sorry didn't see. Giving a loss prevented the team would lead to more intentional DC's from groups of people, they could take turns for every loss and end up lossing less LP.

Lets say a queue of 5 get together to do ranked, they're pretty much guarenteed to lose so one of them DC's, 4 get loss prevented, and the one losses maybe Double LP? so 40 maybe. They play 4 more games they're all losing games so they all take turns. They each only lose 40 LP, over the 20LP from each loss. Maybe they could increase the LP loss for the afk but this would punish those who's internet goes out 45 minutes into a game or something.

Obviously this is just theoretical but the Loss prevented could probably be abused in some way.
