Ascension Mode is Boring AF
Ascension is probably one of the most boring game modes to have been made as a "fun" gameplay mode. Ascension is pretty much Dominion but made faster. This my own opinion of the game mode I'm sure that there are some out there who think Ascension is fun. cough 1 person only No I'm just joking. Partially.
Why I find Ascension to be such a boring game mode is because it's literally run around and 1 v 5 all game. Your team is either off fighting and not capturing the objectives or all running around trying to capture separate objectives. The game is literally 1 v 5 all game long. Either you play correctly and secure objectives while your team just goes full team death match with the enemy team while they capture 2 points and get ascended for your 1 point coverage or you give up the objective of the game mode and go full TDM mode with your team. Either way you still lose unless the other team just blatantly doesn't care about capturing objectives. I literally had a game where I gathered over 80 points alone! 80 points!!! 80!!!! My team all had under 30 points each!!! 30 being the highest!! The rest had under 20 points!
There's no "fun" at all because you spend the whole game being piled by the whole enemy team while your team is constantly either dead or nowhere near you because they think it's a good idea to move towards an area where there's no need to be. "But hey it's a fun mode man don't take it seriously." I'm not taking it seriously it's just insanely boring TDM'ing over and over again and constantly being 1 v 5 because your team thinks it's a good idea to grab the speed buff from where there's no relic instead of moving towards an active relic. The only "fun" thing in the game mode is watching people get killed in 1-2 hits from the ascended even then it's only for a few seconds. Having Ascension be the first game for Rotating Game Mode is such a weak start. Heck, they could have literally just put ARAM as the starting game which is more bearable than Ascension. We all know what you do in ARAM. You get Baron!
