everyone wants to win, but nobody wants to carry.

some team members dont even put forth the effort, they expect you to do everything. and if you lose they bitch you out and blame everything on you.

I would comment on this, but I main support, so it'd seem a bit hypocritical for me to do so.

hahah i understand mate. can you carry as support? yeah....but it's fucking hard. you gotta be madlife for a game. your mechanics have to be perfect. the TRUE mvps in every winning games, are supports. even if that jgler or adc went 34/2/7, you know damn well that support is like 0/4/40

Yeah. Being the support is a lot harder than a lot of players seem to think it is. I mean, I learn something new every game, be it game knowledge or game tactics/strategies. In my opinion, and based off my experience (which isn't very much), the simplest way to carry is knowing exactly when and where to ward. Sure, you may have all the peel in the world in your kit but you ain't getting out of a 3v2 alive at any levels below, like, 10.

For me, carrying as a support is a whole lot easier when you have a friend or two (or more) in the game with you. Even if they aren't the adc, just having another person in the game, with whom you can communicate with, makes things a whole lot easier. Because with that communication, you can have better ward placements since now you have someone placing wards where you cannot, specifically where YOU want them, rather than everyone placing them all will-nilly.

Lastly, my number 1 rule that's helped me carry as a support is:

If you see the jungler, with your wards, coming in for a gank and you ping your adc multiple times but they don't escape (and you know ya'll can't 3v2), LEAVE THEM TO DIE ALONE!!!

In this scenario, you are better off letting them die. Reason 1 being, you know that ya'll can't fight it and you're going to die anyway, so what's the point of trying to save them, only to die with them.

Believe it or not, the golden rule of a support is to look out for your own safety FIRST. You can't carry/protect your team if you're dead.

Anyway............................

Yeah, supports generally have low KDA's. Which I find it weird that some players actually see that as bad. They'll look at that 34/2/7 (jungler/adc) and then be like, "OH, THE GOD CARRY!!!", yet will ignore the support who literally has an assist for damn-near every fight, going something like 0/5/52. All they see is the 5 deaths, no one really looks at the assists. Being a support is rough. Carrying is difficult, no matter what role you are.

[P.S. Forgive me for this rant/chat post. I may have gotten a little carried away when you mentioned Madlife. I don't really think ya' gotta be THAT good to carry a game as a support, but ya' do gotta try to be close to it.] :p
