Why are there no AD support items?

I know are good for supports (Youmuu's = , Duskblade = and Black Cleaver increases the adc's damage), but AD champions lack a starting item like and a sightstone upgrade. Maybe if such an item existed, it would create more diversity by making such champions viable as supports: . I know it's unlikely, but who knows. At the very least we could mess around with those champs in normal games.

Lets not add ad support items that adc may start abusing.

Well, midlaners don't abuse item 3303 (they used to buy it, but it wasn't super op), tanks don't abuse item 3302 , I don't even know who could abuse item 3301

Honestly, why waste a ton of gold for selfish items when you need to purchase item 3107 item 3190 item 3504 item 2045 for the team?

So this is a bit complex.

What's a good support? It's a champion that is proportionately better than other champs when at low amounts of Gold and XP. This rule practically excludes all damage champs, and good supports have CC and/or buffs: they are Tanks or some subset of Mages.

So why is there some AP items, and no AD item for Support? Because AD is a stat used purely for damage, whereas AP is also used to scale some utility spells, and also heals and shields.

That being said, if you want to play Wukong/Vi/Urgot/etc. support in Normals, it's entirely possible to do it right now. Just start Relic Shield, and improvise from there. If you manage to do some early kills and are snowballing, buy some offensive items like duskblade or Triforce. If you're behind, build them Tank, with Knight's Vow, or Zeke. It won't work in super high MMR, but in Normals, it's totally viable.
