League of legends is losing a lot of it's players and watchers to fornite and island nyne is catching up to league as well in terms of them. Ever since the preseason this game has been going down hill due to Riot's change in game philosophy.

Look at their philosophy from now compared to this https://euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/dev-blog-design-values-league-legends

The difference from today's philosophy compared to the philosophy that MADE League a great game is so night and day that it is completely crazy.

When will Riot finally realise this when will Riot listen. I don't even see players using the old loving term of rito anymore. This has been a sad year for league.

Good argument but pls use a game in the same genre as league as comparison. People can watch many genres of gaming ya know right? I don’t have to exclusively watch league, I can also watch games like Overwatch Fortnight or even PAD. Those are all completely different genres than league.

This is if you are making the argument that league is dying. and that was a VERY GOOD argument and call for RIOT to wake up and try and listen to the community.

Stop trying to compare a short term shooter (It's not a Survival game; it's a Shooter with more features) to a MOBA.

If you search trend charts, Fortnite's heavily resembles Black Ops in trend spikes and decay.

It's comparing apples to oranges..... two entirely different player bases, and interest durations.

Also, League SALES still blows Fortnite out of the water by 1.7 BILLION.

Fortnite exploded in popularity, but I highly doubt it will sustain a userbase. Shooter games don't have longevity these days. Look at how Popular Titanfall was at release. How many people are still playing it? Do you really think people will be playing Overwatch in five years? League is also a PC exclusive and Fortnite generates massive quantities of dosh from the console kiddies. I'd rather play with a bunch of salty PC-owning adults than a bunch of dumb kids.
