Question regarding New Graves Passive

I noticed that the new Graves passive has this tidbit attached to it " Graves’ crits fire more bullets (8 normally, 10 with Infinity Edge)"

my question is: is this a bonus specific to this item? or is this based on a bonus granted from +Crit damage? for instance if I ran +crit damage runes would that increase the number of bullets from criticals?

The way I would assume rito would make it work is that there is a threshold. every 25% damage adds an extra bullet. The way its actually handled, who knows!

I would assume its only I.E. specific. Cuz of the I.E.'s unique passive where it makes crits do 250% dmg. So it would make sense that only this item gives graves the extra 2 bullets
