Yes, I know Void Staff exists, but at a pretty expensive price point. Mages who find themselves facing a tank who got ahead a bit and bought Spirit Visage have a tough time dealing a lot of damage, and MidSeason offers more anti-mage stuff so tanks can do more than buy SV against mages.

So far so good, but I'd be happy if there was an item at a cheaper price point that penetrates (bonus) MR so a mage can, similar to an ADC, opt into a mid-tier item to handle a large mres threat.

Um. You're not supposed to be good against tanks. The exceptions are the DPS Mages, who are good against tanks anyways because they have DPS.

We shouldn't see the current Last Whisperer as a good example, that sucker has made tanks VERY hard to balance for the past 2 years
