New Client LAG? Send help plz

Let me preface this by saying: League has always lagged for me at least a_ little_ since I started playing on a laptop, but tonight (my first game using the new client) I couldn't even play effectively because the lag was that horrible.

Is this awful lag happening for anyone else? Or is the new client simply not meant to run on laptops since it's all fancy now?

If anyone knows what to do about this...seriously. Let me know.

UPDATE: I figured out that just using the old version of the client works. Crisis averted.
