Can we realize something for a second?

10-10-0 isn't being "good." All you did was give their team shutdown gold. Running to the back line and dying for 1 or 2 kills (at best) isn't showing that you're good. It feeds more gold than ending a game at 0-10-1.

I'm sure you're all going to look through my match history and claim that I do the same thing. Well, I do, but I also don't claim to be amazing on top of it.

In a lot of cases your death for an enemies is worth it depending on who you kill

As stated above, there are exceptions to the rule, but both assume that you know who to kill or realize that objectives give global gold. 500g shutdown would probably be well worth taking a turret or two, or even a dragon. Both of those assume that you're already ahead, too. 500g shutdown from a team that's behind just means that the person who is possibly carrying the game is down for 30+ seconds. Unless you're all doing that good. That's kinda rare, though.

Something people in my ELO (S5 QQ) don't understand, BUT I don't like to play ranked much, so I'm stuck with it, unfortunately.

To be fair KDA doesn't quite tell the whole story. If each one of those deaths got your team a tower, dragon, or baron it actually would be worth while.

You're not talking about that of course, however your argument does kind of exclude the example I've said here.

You're right, but you do seem to get my point, at least.

Situational. Sometimes I'll be a 4-10 sion but I'll have 20 assists I set up and got my team fed.

Lots of variables.

I didn't say 10-10. I said 10-10-0. Technicalities, but an important one. I'm sure everyone here can understand what I'm getting at entirely, though. That guy that gets a high kill count, but an even KDA then complains that he's losing because it's always from him being split from us when we're in a teamfight on the other side of the map. Doing that isn't good when your team is behind, and it can be even worse if your team is ahead.

Come to think of it, there are WAY too many variables to narrow it down to only KDA. Nonetheless, we've all had "that guy" before.

But what's the cs difference is the question.

A tank who's 10/10 or 0/10/10 is often times doing their job, which is protecting others and dying for carries if applicable. I don't mean just suiciding in every time an enemy happens by, but I've had games with a less than glorious score when every single one of my deaths (or at least the vast majority) have been a good call and given us an edge.

Like-wise, an assassin dying for the enemy carry is often times a good thing. Especially if that assassin was behind after the laning phase but has been reliably killing the enemy ADC early in each fight and dying as a result, I'll take that trade all day.
