Why are people upset that elise is weak?
She was literally the best jungle in the game for 2 straight seasons.

Because Lee Sin is still viable. As long as Lee Sin is viable there is no reason Elise should be left to rot in the gutter. They were both as bad as each other, but Elise got all the nerfs, more than she needed, and Lee has barely been touched. So that leaves 1 of 2 things, nerf Lee Sin to the ground (I can't deny, I would be ecstatic if he was nerfed), or buff Elise, which would you prefer, 2 unviable champions, or 2 somewhat viable champions?

Ideally no champion would be left in the trash, but ideally no champion would need to be left in the trash.
People who value a champion over the health of the game and people who value the health of the game over a champion rise whenever public opinion meets their own, since they otherwise meet the downvote mobile. When a chance for your favorite champion to be pulled from the trash heap arises and you can post about it without being shat upon, of course you're gonna take that chance. If I were to make a thread about how Nashor's Tooth is actually really strong and that I think that the incoming buff will make it overpowered, odds are my post would be gone in minutes. But if it turns out I'm right and the meta shifts to champions who can abuse it and no turret is safe I'll probably be parading around giving suggestions to fix it.

Both are extremely hard to do well with though. I believe the problem with Lee compared to Elise isn't the fact he is "OP" or anything, because I don't think he is. But Lee's kit is far easier to be shitty with than Elise's. If you miss your skillshot on Elise, you're dead. If you mess up your rapple, you're dead. Lee has many ways to get out of a poor engage with his ult, Q to a minion/monster, W to a ward/ally, and a slow (including challenging smite). The problem they made with Elise is that they took her, "I am shitty but I do well with Elise", out of her kit. Her kit is very unforgiving and can only be executed if you are truly skilled with Elise. I've seen some Elise do extremely well, and I used to be pretty good with Elise when I used to play her, but going back to mess around with her since her "buffs", I have forgotten how hard she was to play.
