If Support is being taken over by Mages, why is Janna still Queen Supreme?

Seriously, is she ever not good? I don't get why people adore their Mage supports so much and say it crowds out bot lane supports when Janna is both a dominant pickrate and a dominant winrate since ages. I think with all the buffs she's gotten in the form of items and masteries (just stacking shield power bonuses while getting useful item effects/actives) it's almost weird the only thing people ever talk about are how good Malzahar and Zyra are.

Why does everyone forget Janna?

this was true 2 months ago, at least in diamond karma malz and zyra are the supreme here, and you can possibly play janna thresh and nami

Hm yes, Thresh can for sure bully the lane while giving tons of utility and 1v1 the adc Thresh is decent and he's a generalist doesn't mean he's the best

his base stat+range are garbage making him easy to bully, his hook delay is so fucking stupid the only way to hit a hook is to use your hook on an other location hoping for the target to walk into this location because the delay+speed of the hook will never make you able to hook a target

One thing thresh will always have over the other supports is his lantern saving from ganks, but the collision size has been increased even enemy minions standing over it will fuck the lantern

If we're talking about actual support Karma is the strongest Janna comes afterward but she isn't broken, the other supports are just weak af and not able to do their job except nami and thresh

She's not good with bad teammates. Playing Zyra or Malzahar with bad teammates is far better since you still have some carry potential.

Well, I figure a lot of people play janna right now because of the hyper-aggressive junglers/divers, who janna just so happens to counter. Also, AFAIK, janna is the only pure enchanter with as much success.

EDIT: also, about why everyone forgets about her, it's probably because I'm the only Janna main that's still in silver. If she were meta in bronze/silver, believe me she'd probably get nerfed even harder than usual. Even I think she needs a nerf, but I was thinking reducing the shield duration to 4 or 4.5 seconds.
