Honest Question: Is thornmail a viable item for ADCs?

Old: Reflects 30% of incoming damage as Magic Damage to opponent.

New: Upon being hit with a basic attack, reflects 15% of the physical damage taken (+ 25% bonus armor) from basic attacks and on-hit effects back to its source as magic damage (Calculated before any resistances or reductions are taken into account).

What if you're engaged on by an ability assassin like ?

Does this make the item worthless or is the in-game tooltip wrong?

Even then, is 15% reflected damage enough to matter?

Only build thornmail on Ashe.

Because the tutorial said so.

No, don't build it on any ADC.

You don't have enough HP to justify the damage it will return. You would do much better with another damage item in it's place

No, because it's only really effective if you're stacking armour and most ADC's will build lifesteal anyways so you will just get draintanked on top of having your damage suffer.

vs the champs you mention they dont auto alot... you be better off with an item that provides armor and hp over thornmail..
