Gorax is a behemoth of a man, his model standing roughly at the same height as Tahm Kench. He is extremely obese and covered from head to toe in Butcher's garb, with a meat grinder on his back, connected to his hook. Blood spatter covers his body while he wields a Slaughterhouse Hook in one hand and a humongous Meat Cleaver in the other. His voice is low and gruff, and he speaks with a nearly incomprehensible slur. The sound of rattling chains can be heard as he takes each heavy, pounding step.

#Abilities

http://i.imgur.com/feo26Og.jpg Innate - Head Collection

Every time an enemy unit dies within 900 units of Gorax, it drops a head that Gorax may collect by walking over it. Champions, Dragon and Baron that die within this radius drop a large head that counts as 5 heads. Each head collected adds a stack to Head Collection. Each stack of Head Collection increases his Maximum Health and HP/5.

Each Head that he picks up regenerates a percent of his maximum health over 2 seconds.

Max Health Gain: +5 / +10 / +15 Per stack Bonus HP/5 Gain: +0.2 / +0.4 / +0.6 per stack Minion/Monster Regen: 0.3% / 0.6% / 0.9% Champion/Baron/Dragon Regen: 1.5% / 1.8% / 2.7%

Head Collection has an internal cooldown of 6 seconds, preventing minions and monsters from dropping more than 1 head every 6 seconds. Enemy Champions, Large monsters, Pets, Dragon and Baron are exempt from this timer. Heads that are not collected disappear after 10 seconds.

Head Collection upgrades at levels 1 / 6 / 11

http://i.imgur.com/7tyjzVs.jpg Q - Slaughterhouse Hook

Range -------- 900 Speed ------- 1850 Cost ---------- 100 / 110 / 120 / 130 / 140 Health Cooldown 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16

Active: After a short delay (0.75 Seconds), Gorax throws a festering hook in target direction, latching onto the first unit struck and pulling them into melee range. Dealing physical damage and granting a stack of Festering wounds if it's an enemy.

Physical Damage: 70 / 140 / 210 / 280 / 350 (+50% AD)(+1 per 2 Heads)

http://i.imgur.com/0N0Kdrp.jpg W - Festering Wounds

Passive: Passively deals a percent of Gorax's AD over time. Every 4th attack deals extra physical damage and bonus % Max Health Physical Damage, this damage is capped against minions and monsters. Festering wounds immediately gains 4 stacks if Festering Wounds' extra Damage kills any unit.

Physical DoT: 10% of AD (+1 per 2 Heads) per second DoT Duration: 5 Seconds Physical Proc: 45 / 80 / 115 / 150 / 185 (+10% AD)(+1 per 5 Heads) % Max HP: 0.1% per Head collected as physical damage Max Champion Damage: 35% of Maximum HP Max Minion Damage: 150 / 300 / 450 / 600 / 750

Auto-attacks against the same target reset the DoT timer. Festering wound's proc stacks dissipate after 10 seconds of not attacking. Heads increase flat damage, not percentile, for the passive DoT.

http://i.imgur.com/yEbeicU.jpg E - Psychopathic Rage

Range --- Personal Cost ----- 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% / 18% of Max Health CD -------- 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11

Active: Gorax flies into a rage, granting him bonus Attack Speed and Movement speed. Gorax also gains Lifesteal for the duration per Head he has collected.

Attack Speed: +12% / +24% / +36% / +48% / +60% Movement Speed: +8% / +16% / +24% / +32% / +40% Lifesteal: 0.1% per Head Buff Duration: 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 / 5

http://i.imgur.com/oWla9Iv.jpg R - Decapitation

Range 200 Cost -- 25% of Current HP CD ----- 180 / 120 / 60

Active: Gorax attempts to decapitate his target, dealing massive physical with increased damage based on the target's missing health.

Physical Damage: 175 / 250 / 325 (+80% AD)(+1 per Head) Increased Damage: 1% / 1.5% / 2% per 1% of target's missing health

Decapitation adds a stack of Festering wounds and can proc Festering wounds, adding the damage to the total and increasing it along with the rest of the damage.

The slaughterhouses of Zaun weren't enough for the bloodthirsty Gorax. Beef and Pork slowly descended to the flesh of his fellow man. Distinguishing naught from Man or Animal, Gorax slaughters with no mercy. With an evil, bubbling Cackle always resonating as each of his victims succumb to their rotting wounds. Always finishing the kill by removing the head of his quarry, Gorax's thirst for blood cannot be sated. Even the dead aren't left to rest, as each corpse he passes is cleaved of it's head. Each head adding to his endless collection, he wanders throughout Valoran, hunting for his next Kill...

"That isn't a man... it's a monster hiding in a man's flesh..." -A Survivor of a Demacian Patrol Massacre

#Tips for playing as Gorax

  • You are very auto-attack reliant, building attack speed will allow you to proc your Festering wounds much faster and deal much more damage over time.

  • Your hook can be used as both an engage mechanic and an escape. Hook one of your teammates if they're caught out of position!

  • Be cautious when using Psychopathic Rage or Decapitation, their benefits outweigh their health cost, but not if you die before you can capitalize on them!

#Tips for playing against Gorax

  • Gorax's hook has a very long cooldown, use this to your advantage if he misses.

  • Gorax is extremely Auto-attack reliant, and his only source of ranged damage is his hook. Stay out of melee range and poke from a distance.

  • Heads dropped by minions and monsters can be used to predict Gorax's movement, harass him as he tries to collect!

Quit playing Dota 2

His Passive, Q and R are all just copies of Pudge's from Dota 2.

Ok I can't tell if you got this idea from pudge from DOtA 2, but I love it. Pudge is my fav hero in Dota.

Passive: very nice, allows for counterplay by keeping him from head, gives hp bonus that isn't much, but the hp regen and the hp recovery they grant makes them worth it. EDIT: what i wrote was because i read it like champions gave 1 head, baron and dragon 5, not that EVERY unit gave 1, i think that way you put it makes him look like Thresh . i think it would work better by minions not giving heads, champions giving 1, epic monsters 5 and perhaps large monsters giving 1 (in case he wants to jungle) this way he could be better balanced as a "snowball" champion.

q: i dislike "absolute hooks" akaBlitzcrank, it's just not healthy, it would be better if it worked like Thresh, roots the target, and pulls it in 3 stages, giving a max proximity of 1/2 or 1/3 the initial range between the target and Gorax, each stage proccing damage.

w: not bad spell, but something that occurred to me to make it more unique and different from other other "3 hit passives": when you get this spell, Gorax's auto attacks deal, lets say 50% less damage, but leaves a stack on the target that deal damage equal to 60/62.5/65/67.5/70 %AD over 3 seconds, stacks up to 4 times, if 4 stacks are reached, they are consumed dealing all the damage at once plus 1/2/3/4/5% AD + 1% AD per each Head collected.

e: nice spell, i would increase lifesteal to 1% per head or something like that though.

r: also, good spell, but would make it: + 0.5% AD damage for each head collected.

Roundup: i think its an interesting champion, i just made suggestions i think would make him more unique and interesting.

Only the Q is excessively similar to Pudge's kit. The rest is only vaguely similar at best. (At least from what I remember.) This is more of a thematic copy than a gameplay copy. As a note, LoL has been copying from DotA forever, because DotA is... well, basically the first. And yes, Io's W is essentially just like the passive of Aurelion Sol + his W, except rolled into one active/toggle.

Ahh, Fresh meat!

In other news, I kinda like it, but I feel that he's to similar to good ol' Pudge for riot to consider.

GreenLore3/21/2016, 2:08:34 PM1 votes

Overall I'd say he should try to avoid similarities with pudge at all costs. I mean yeah, some champions are pretty much copies from the original dota-champions(or heavily based on these),but thats largely a thing of the past.(especially with dota2 being around now)

Sure single abilities or themes can be shared among lol&dota champs,I mean aurelions stars are similar to ios wisps, but the characters are completely different and the mechanic is still slightly different too.

So if we'd get a butcher character,he should try to be as different as possible to Pudge(and the butcher from Hots probably as well).

i mean, we already have one fat ugly bastard in the game, do we really need two? maybe after another hundred champions.

Where did you make the ability icons and champion art? I would really love to know

I'd change the head thing. It implies champions are decapitated upon dying, but that's not the case as you can see their heads are still attached. Perhaps switch your passive with your W. I think it'd provide better synergy with your kit. This would ruin the whole head decapitating thing you have going though, but I think your ult would compensate enough for it to provide room. Or it could be reworked into something like a Rengar Passive, but that's just copying. Then again, your W as your passive would be like a Brand passive, but maybe it makes stacks? Then it'd be a Darius passive. Hmm... this is turning into a conundrum. If you kept the passive, I'd change it to something other than heads. Souls would make more sense, but that's a Thresh passive and again, doesn't fit thematically with the decapitator thing. Your E doesn't make too much sense to me thematically. Why does he hurt himself? Why is he a masochist? He seems more like a sadistic killer.
