Do people not understand that most games aren't lost in the first ten minutes?

You can still win, but only if you're actually good enough to play when you're behind (and yes, pros are capable of doing this, it's not always 100% a sure win for one side. If you're going to copy their fotm LCS picks, then at least copy some of their GOOD habits).

Yes, but if I have an afk, I want the game over as soon as possible.

That could be an exception, but could be unfair is someone dc's for a second during a connection interrupt and the team immediately surrenders in the span of 20 seconds.

It can happen, and it can be abused. :/

Just make it like Dota's. If someone is out for 5 minutes, everyone gets to leave. Also, allow pausing.

Pausing is already allowed in tournament draft, so we know that it could be implemented (but would need some kind of rules, like break limits).

Though I suppose that's fair. Five minutes is enough time to restart your computer if needed. The power going out has no guarantee you can get back to your match, so might as well. Seems fair enough.

Regarding pausing rules, I love Dota's pausing rules. Anyone can unpause, you have to wait 30 seconds to unpause if someone is disconnected and you don't have to wait otherwise, you can only pause once every x period of time (I think it's once every 5 minutes in Dota but I'm not certain), and there is a 3 second delay both on pausing and unpausing to limit abuse. Would be a wonderful addition.

I don't think a team is going to agree to a surrender vote 20 seconds after someone afks....they will at least give them some time to return.

only if it takes a full 5/5 then i would consider a 10minute surrender. even though its still entirely possible to comeback no matter how poorly you do in the first 10minutes. you cant go against it when all 5 players just dont want to be there.

but thats if someone isnt AFK. 4/5 is a solid amount of surrenders. it means virtually the entire team thinks you lost. Youre acting like 1 person can end the game...thats obviously not true.

In URF, yes. In ARAM/TT/Dominion, 15 minutes. On SR, no.

Interesting. I was able to downvote this thread without opening it, just downvote from the forum screen...

I feel like that sucks.

Let's upgrade the forums, please, riot. ;)
