How to get placed plat in new season?

Just wondering, how high do you need to finish the preseason to have a reasonable shot at being placed back into the platinum tier? Anyone have this experience? I know like even high elo players can only be placed to plat 1 at the highest for a new season, and if i remember right, I usually have had a full tier drop item 3070 after each preseason. But I have had friends who actually got placed only a division or 2 lower also... Anyways, anyone know much about this?

win like 70% of your games and be at least plat 3 or something? dunno. Even if i go 0-10 i end up the very least plat 3
