Can someone help me figure out how Rhaast works?

So I'm trying my damn hardest to learn Kayn, and just the jungle in general (some background info, I hate and cannot play jungle well. This champ is making me want to be a jungler. Let that sink in). At the moment I can't say I'm doing particularly well, but I seem to get much more success when I choose shadow assassin over rhaast. I realize that he's more adept at fighting other fighters and tanks in that form, but in most fights, even some 1v1's, I just get blown up and die before I do anything of note past the 1st knockup. Am I just picking the wrong targets? Are the stats I'm focusing on wrong? I just don't know man :/

I know how you feel about seeing a champion and learning to main a role you consistently have hated just because that champion calls to you. Ekko

Best piece of advice I can offer you is to eat, sleep, and breath Kayn. Look up montages, outplays, full gameplay featuring Kayn. Go unto the league wikipedia page and memorize his scalings and abilities. Look up tricks, tips, and practice him in training/bots constantly. Regularly visit the Kayn Mains reddit page. Set Kayn wallpapers as your backround for your phone and desktop. ~~Hell fap to rule 34 of kayn~~, ok thats a bit too far. If you have the patience though, make an entire account dedicated to Kayn only and spam the shit out of him (I say this because as your skill level with the champ increases so do your opponents rather than taking him against opponents who heavily outskill you).

You should still hunt down the squishies first if you have an opportunity, his kit is too good at killing backline not to abuse it. And you still more or less build similar to assasin maybe 1/2 defensive items if you really need to, but generally still damage, because the form is naturally tankier due to healing and hard cc.

No. It's the Rhaast form that's more adept, not Shadow Assassin. I think you got something wrong.

Of course. Shadow Assassin is not supposed to be tanky, that's Rhaast.

Shadow Assassin can't knock up. That's Rhaast.

Shadow Assassin should go for squishy targets. If you are fighting fighters or tanks, I would recommend Rhaast form.

Are the starts I'm focusing on wrong?

Well if you're building tanky on Shadow Assassin you are definitely doing something wrong. Also wasn't this post about Rhaast?
