We have all been in the place when a player gets their main banned in ranked then plays a champion that they cannot play at all, causing a loss to occur. To enter ranked a player should need "x" amount of mastery lvl 4 to enter ranked. what do you guys think?

And this already has existed time and time before. Am going to throw out two problem I see with it. 1. Really any mastery before 6 and 7 could just mean they play the champion a lot, not that they can play it. 2. Unless you have the requirement be small for number of champions, what if I am a one or two trick that only owns the 16 champions needed to que for rank? Now don't get me wrong, I agree that you should always have a back up champion you are at least comfortable with, but that has nothing to do with entering ranked.
How will I get fed if this happened ?
