rengar-passive-like range indicator for ranged champions

Hey Rito, you could implement a rengar-passive-like range indicator for ranged champions in vs-KI-games (ty for the idea 6R3Y!). It could really help to learn how to poke and such and with dealing damage in general to enemies. This addition to the game could help especially new players or someone who is playing a ranged champion for the first time. It also would help with champions with a varying range like Jinx or KogMaw . And it would be way better than pressing the button for aggressive movement all the time. And this could turn on only if enemies are nearby. Of course you should be able to turn this on and off in the options, because it could annoy some people.

However, I understand if you wouldn't want to implement it because you don't want to help the summoner too much (e.g. no range indicator for towers in non-vs-KI-games).

Thank you for reading. :D

Maybe in Bot games, Like tower ranges but not in PVP.

Didn't think about this. Seems like an even better idea. Thank you!

Well, there is a pretty big difference between Rengar and a marksman. Marksmen have fixed autoattack ranges, that you have to get familiar with. Odds are, you autoattack more often than when Rengar jumps out of the bushes, am I right? You aa to farm, you aa to poke, you aa to get kills. With Rengar, you can spam bush jumps, but the range indicator is mainly there because you usually pounce to initiate, sometimes you can try to auto and jump only to realize that they walk out of range...

Besides, if every ranged champion had a range indicator, wouldn't it be easy to use to the advantage of new players to know exactly how safe they are from an enemy marksman? And what about the overhead with coding it and the extra resources required to run the game could make the game slow down if too much is also going on at the time.

Besides, why do you think that they only have tower range indicators on bot games? It's because very few players should have issues with these ranges that they would be seeing very often.

I guess you're right. I wasn't entirely sure abot this when I posted this, due to those resons you just explained. But you took them even further than I did and I understand you reasoning. So thank you for explaining. :D summoner 1 Thank you for cleansing my mind.

Very nice to see a successful appeal to reason and a calm, thankful reception of facts on this forum. You'd be surprised how many conversations I have that go like this:

OP: "I want [this thing that may not be obvious why it doesn't exist]" Me: "Well, the reason we don't have it is... [that not so obvious reason]." OP: "But... I want it, and it would make the game easier for me." Me: "..."

I support this being in bot game. Could really help people learn new champions.

pressing A (to attack) shows your auto attack range

Thanks for pointing this out! I've seen people use (I presume) a key to bring up a target for auto attacks, which could be good to use under certain conditions, but I could never find which key it was!
