Has AP Shaco become doable with Runic Echoes?

Hello there, a very tired Onwodori here.

Just plain and simple -- does the new AP jungle item better help our insane clown, who now has a rival for craziest assassin on the rift (thanks Jhin.)

I've never refereed to myself as a Shaco master, but I imagine the build would go: A rushed then / / / / ? This is me not suggesting all these items per-say, but being unsure of what to build at this hour ...

Honestly if you wanna go AP shaco, just go top where a lot of immobile champions are picked.

AP jungle shaco is always sort of iffy because you need some sort of DPS to clear camps through the game, and AP shaco's only DPS is the boxes. But boxes should be used as escape routes and traps mid game, which is also around the time AD shaco can just clear camps w/o and issue. BUt AP shaco can't.

AP shaco has been a top lane thing, just look at the Illuminati pink ward. Jungle has been ad though due to the boxes being hard to set up pre gank so you rely heavily on shiv damage and the clone going pop.

ignore VEXFUL and ULTRASCEPT, they mean well but simply don't realize the potential.

ive done alot of ap shaco with runeglaive but not runic, and i know a guy thats played alot of runic and insists the clear is BETTER.

your half right btw, the core is item 1402 , item 3100 , then item 3146 . this build gives you alot of ap, high MS, and alot of ratios to add to your burst. plus, gunblade only adds more ratios and good sustain, as well as secondary peel alongside blue smite, assuming you go blue smite. :D. morellos is good and cheap, but i wouldnt suggest nashors. love the item, but youd need to tank to land more than one AA, that or high attack speed. grab those big booty items like item 3089 , item 3151 , and item 3157 and your set. oh, and dont grab item 3285 , its already taken. RIP. :o(.

oh yeah, grab some ad reds and quints, youll need em for those ganks early game :D. dont want to dissapoint Shaco

Hey --

It works amazingly. I've been spamming AP shaco in the jungle for weeks now. Rush Runic Echoes, max Boxes then E of course. CDR boots or Sorc boots are your next item, grabbing the hunter's potion at some point. Then go for Lich Bane, Abyssal Scepter, Rabadon's Deathcap or Lyandry's Torment depending on the game.
