Lissandra ban?

Why has Lissandra become such a common ban? Ever since her burst nerf back in S4, she was just dropped all together and now has randomly come back. I hear it's because she counters top, but so does Gnar so...why?

She had that since her release. So what made it so powerful just now?

Well it has nothing to do with me warning people about the horror of Lissandra.

Nope. It's not like I said Lissandra was freelo a few weeks ago.

I guess you could say you were a Lissandra Cassandra?

Being able to drop a ranged suppress on an enemy ADC just renders them useless for an entire fight when they instantly die as a result.

It is less her damage and more her utility. Her ult is VERY strong. Both defensive and offensive. With good wave clear she has few (but does have them) weaknesses.

Gnar can be dealt with, bait out one of his skills and a large opening shows up in his seemingly flawless defense. Bait one of Lissandra's skills out and she has three more that do the same thing. She's literally the only champion with a kit where all four individual skills can be used for disengage, minus someone like Azir who has skill combos that do it.

Lets see.... First she has strong damage. Oh wait that is the least important thing to her kit. First she has two stuns mobility and a slow. All of her cc is aoe. She is one of the safest champions when played at even a moderate lvl of play. She can all in a squishy. You wonder why she is banned? Oh and she is a counter pick to about 70% of the common top laners.
