As Always, ADCS ruin Everything

Well, as the title implies, we get to see the nerf of another item soon because ADCs always have to abuse items from other classes.

Relic shield is the current go to for ADCs because it gives them a convenient shield and tankiness as well as sustain for their support and a little extra gold for them at the small cost of a teeny bit of a damage early game that is heavily negated by the sustain and utility of the shield.

ADCs can't just use the items their own class provides and always have to ruin it for others such as duskblade, Steraks, and now Relic shield. Sorry tank supports, it was meant for you but the when you have a class like ADC that has design flaws like it does, we all have to pay our dues.

ADCs don't control Riot's poor balance decisions.

Riot does. Hold them accountable.

No one's gonna talk about how Evelynn buys Frostfang as a jungler?

Don't think you understand that the build has a tradeoff. ADCs opt into sustain so they don't feed, the tradeoff being that they deal less damage early.

Something else to mention is that it's not only relic shield thats being changed, every support item is being changed. They've clearly been planning this for awehile and aren't kneejerk changing it because of adcs.

I mean, mage users mid are abusing FQC again, along with AP jungles like Nid and Eve. And I've seen several Talisman tops occasionally.

Perhaps, just perhaps... all the support items are overtuned? Getting the Bandit mastery rolled right into them was a rather major buff.

The overheal strat developed late into December.

Rioters were on vacation until early January.

We got the sightstone changes on the very first PBE patch of the year.

Actually think for a goddamn second and you'll realize that your "conspiracy" is nothing but rage at having failed, and an attempt to pass off that failure at something you perceive as a problem, when it fucking isn't.

Because it takes the minimal amount of thought to realize that the timeline doesn't line up.

Rito just cant convince themselves to make some items for melee champs only

Do people just upvote any thread thats anti-adc blindly?

The boards will always be idiotic.

The WHOLE SUPPORT ITEMS ARE GETTING A CHANGE, NOT because adcs are using relic shield. They said theyve been working on it for a bit.

not sure if you're entirely correct, relic adc has been around even before rune changes, and i don't see why its a problem if both adcs and supports has it.

Honestly, considering how Relic Shield functions, it was obvious that ADCs will use it at some points.

item 3301 Can't be used by ADCs, since coins just drop from minions you didn't kill yourself. item 3303 Can't be used efficiently, since csing slows down the passive generation.

item 3097 This is the only gold generating support item without such a limiter. There is no downside if a csing champion uses it, he gets the full benefit of the gold share. Which is pretty good in a lane with 2 champions by default.

You don't want Relic Shield being abused by ADCs? Then do the same you did for the other 2 support items and put a limiter on it, preventing farming champs from taking it. This is not the fault of ADCs, it's just that this item hasn't an anti-abuse mechanic built into it like the other 2.

It basically started out like this;

Morde ADC with tank support, both had shield.

Blitz ADC with Thresh support, both had shield.

People realize that was pretty good, decided to try starting shield on some of the weaker laners who don't trade much in lane anyway, hence don't need the ad. Like Kog. It worked out pretty well, and in the meta of Ardent rush, it got their support to their Ardent faster than the enemy support.

Shield started branching out to other ADCs after the runes rework, because people realized 100 shield from Overheal + 190 shield from relic = the ability to eat one ability from the enemy mid laner without taking any damage to their actual health. That's a pretty big deal when your hp bar is basically only one of thheir rotations. Overheal + Relic on someone like Vayne is almost a 20% hp increase in shield alone. That's pretty busted, since she does so much damage with only two items the shields just keep her in lane farming even longer.

Riot really ought to just bar some items from being built by certain classes. They've been too gun-shy in the past with blocking certain champions from certain items. If it is a bruiser item or an assassin item and Marksmen can make better use of it then they should be locked out of using it, period. Then we won't have problems with Marksmen players building these items and causing Riot to have to nerf them for everyone.

Not sure if you're referring to the changes to sightstone or the fact that adcs have been using relic shield since the ardent censer meta. Either way something was bound to change.
