I dont think Veigar needs buffs due to DFG being removed.

Now being honest I would love to see Veigar get stronger as I do love the champ, but he really doesn't need buffs to compensate for the loss of item 3128 . He can still fill his role of deleting someone of his choice from the enemy team without it. Other champs whom I don't play much of can easily be given some love Ahri Leblanc Mordekaiser. Arguments can be made for the latter champs either way but Veigar is quite strong without it.

The removal of DFG is a double nerf to veigar. He won't have it, and the person he's ulting won't have it. ;)

I can smell someone had been bursted to oblivion recently.

I play him and have played against him, he can burst down anyone with no MR starting around mid game, and assuming your team isn't full Ap his burst can still hurt if not kill tanks going into the late game assuming your getting stacks.

I mean, Unlimited AP is at most 200 AP at 55 minutes from farming diligent.

ive gotten about 150 at about 25-30 min starting item 3165 , granted the game ended shortly after but none the less.

Wait so Veigar doesn't need compensation, but LB who is a Veigar with mobility that doesn't need to farm for 30 min before becoming useful does?

I did say arguments could be made for the others, I play very little LB but it seems like she could use some love. I am far from the authority on those matters though.

agreed veigar is one annoying caster to fight due to his ridiculously sized 2 second aoe stun with a hitbox comparable to morganas in that its bulshit

also, infinite ap scaling veigar mains crying about how their class is "usless" without DFG are just jumping on the bandwagon hoping for uber veigar buffs , but hes still going to delete people instantly past midgame without a dfg as most don't even build it until late game

I'm sorry but the hitbox of Veigar E is hilariously bad, i had so many cases where my E should have landed directly on top of them (it was literally over them) but they walked out of it like it was never on them in the first place.

Ooooh, you have no idea what you are talking about, now i get it.

He definitely needs buffs. The removal of DFG, which was his core item hits him hard. He won't be able to burst non heavy ap mages or ADs without it well. Also, you would buff ahri but not veigar? Ahri is extremely strong at the moment. Veigar is a mid game Mage with extremely short range and mana problems, that loses lane to everyone only to fall off late game due to banshees veils, merc treads and tanks.

I have to agree. He's weak, and most Veigar mains accept that about him, but the loss of DFG is pretty serious. If you crunch the numbers, the loss of DFG makes a huge difference in his ability to fully one-shot someone. It's especially crucial for getting those early-mid-game kills that can bring him back into the fight after his rough laning phase.

It's also an issue for lategame. Lategame, ADCs can delete people with right-clicks. With DFG, Veigar can (if sufficiently fed) split his nukes to kill or seriously damage two targets. That doesn't seem out of control for a fed burst mage with no mobility and low survivability.

He does need some love, but not necessarily to his burst.

he still oneshot every ap of the game

He does need it for the sake of staying competitive in aggressive lanes. Yes there's the farm Veigar, but several things work against him if passive farming isn't advisable. DFG is the cheapest of the "Big 3" AP items, so you now have to get at least 200g more than usual in less time if you want to stay ahead. There's also the debuff for early levels. That active could get your carry-train rolling if you can't 100-0 your opponent just yet. 100-0 is what Veigar does. It is HIM. He doesn't get picked for anything else. DFG leaving hurts his laning phase. Midgame, the differences should balance out a bit as Rabadons and Zhonyas are usually useful, but goodbye to hammering tanks with meteors and making them run for their lives. The DFG active won't help you peel tanks (or just flat-out kill them) which is something Veigar has always been able to do. There shouldn't be anyone on the map that thinks they can walk up to Veigar and take a hit without regretting it. Assassins are useful for that, but they don't get hit. I can 100-0 champs with 1 R -nothing else and not even full build. For farm games, my Q and W can kill champs. I've farmed the Q up to 500's before. (It was a stupidly long game.) Without DFG, he's less of a threat early on which hurts him against all the other popular picks right now that can get ahead and stay ahead. If Veigar falls behind he becomes a walking E with a very long cooldown. DFG has become a part of him, his power is nerfed without it.
