I'm concerned about the Gameplay forum. It seems that every post is downvoted here. Why is there such extreme toxicity on this board?

This. I still read threads chronologically and Riot refuses to fix any bugs or add any features to make following conversations easier in that fashion. It's just a better format for having actual discussions while Reddit is only good for sharing content and running AMAs that only call for short responses.
