Internet Or Not - What You Say Has an Impact

Just finished a rough game where our Ahri mid-laner was 0-6 by 15 mins. She was being flamed, but persisted to ward, farm; and do what she would. Did she play perfect? No; but who does? I tried to offer encouragement where available to see if it would help, and guess what.. it did.

The point of this thread is to show you that what you say CAN impact the course of a game. People tend to forget the mental aspect of League's competitiveness. Cultivate it, you'll drastically increase your chances of winning. Flame and degrade people, you'll lose a lot more.

Long story short the Ahri added me after the game and said the following. It made me feel really bad -- so take this as a P.S.A that there are actual people behind their champions. Take care.

8:24PM] Team Fat Amy: wassup [8:24PM] ACatNamedMittens: im sorry thank you for believing in me [8:25PM] Team Fat Amy: its ok! things happen, having bad games is normal. [8:25PM] ACatNamedMittens: its people like you that makes this a nice world i appreciate the invite, but alas, i must go [8:25PM] Team Fat Amy: ok :) have fun and be positive!

internet or not what you say has literally no impact. Everyone is toxic and nobody gives a fuk about being yelled out on the internet, they will forget about it it in 15 minutes max.

I can understand it if a thug insults the crap out of you in an ally that you might be scared shit less, but on the internet you have to have a mental illness like severe traumatic depression to actually care what others say to you. Most people just insult back to this random stranger then they go take a beer and the cycle begins anew.

did she fly off on her broom to neverland as well? even if this wasnt made up people that play like shit in plat+ let down their teammates. some decide to insult that player, others let that player know they need to pick the slack up or they will lose.

it is the internet. it will always be. cyber bullying will never exist. if she didnt like the insulting, the mute button is there as well
