Is Riven's Q based off of this?

I actually have no idea where to post this. Anyways, it's been bothering me for some time, but I was wondering if Riven's Q was based off of this boss from Vindictus. Just to let you guys know, Riven was released in 2014, and this boss was out by 2011.

You see it around 1:32 - 1:38 and then again at 2:20 - 2:26

Coincidence? Or did the development team used this as reference? Oh, and he does a Garen Judgement in there somewhere.

Oh, and as a disclaimer, that isn't me playing. I was just lazy and didn't wanna patch my own game.

Edit: RIven released 2011. I skimmed too fast. Sowwie :c

Riven was released on September 14... of 2011. So althought it may be, it may be not too .
