Your Riven hate is really bothersome, let me help you please.

I just saw a Riven thread, it was incredibly inaccurate as it was likely intended as a joke to vent somebodies frustrations, however a lot of comments were saying it was surprisingly accurate. I play a lot of Fighters, I play every Fighter as a Fighter, no assassins, no tanks, I play them for both durability and damage as it should be. I play Shyvana, Riven, Rek'Sai, AD Nidalee, and Skarner, mostly. In all my time playing, I have never worried about fighting a Riven, I've lost to Riven, I've played against good Rivens at least considering elo (hence why I've lost, among other reasons) but I've never gone to lane thinking that it would be a bad lane, I kind of find it easy compared to most other Fighters.

This is a chart from lol Wikia, the bottom Row is you, the enemy is on the side (we only really need the bottom line with Riven)

Garen, you have a 57% win rate, I'm shocked that it's no higher, dude just end your games quicker. I'm sure you're winning lane 90% of the time and any losses you get are because you don't close the game fast enough or your team sucks and you do nothing to help them.

Gnar I don't know how you have a 49% win rate vs Riven, but laning is pretty easy, I recommend these runes and masteries http://puu.sh/jNiTs/1a374838cf.jpg http://puu.sh/jNiTU/02e61acd9b.jpg Never let Riven CS for free, stay at your maximum range and auto her, if minions attack you duck into a brush, keep her at about half hp or lower, it's pretty easy most of the time, when mini only jump defensively unless you're winning so hard you can't possibly die by going for an aggressive jump. I recommend maxing W for the harass, since it's so easy to get off, be careful that she is not in range to E W though.

Shen, I know why you lost, quit rushing Sunfire Cape, it's a really good item, even on Shen, but it prevents freezing, You aren't a champion made for winning lane, and yet you so often do, winning lane vs Riven is pretty easy as Shen, and once you do, deny her, freeze your lane. Freeze always, even in the beginning. When you build up a giant minion wave cause your freeze is ending (assuming it does) that is the time time to fight, pre 6, giant wave, going at Riven, you taunt her and minions kill her.

Rengar, not a lot you can do, you're strengths are late game just like hers, you could win a 1v1 in lane pretty easily just by jumping her after she uses her W or Qs (pre 6 only) however just worry about farming, If she gets strong you can easily kill her late game.

Darius WTF, Run these runes http://puu.sh/jNiTs/1a374838cf.jpg There is no reason Darius should be losing to Riven, however maybe this is just a result of the rework, so I'll leave this one alone, but old Darius for sure, 1 combo, Riven dies, meanwhile Darius easily survives 1 Riven combo. Know your own power spikes, they're far better than hers.

Jax take defensive masteries, and use the proper harass technique E Q W, wait for stun, walk away, buy an early sheen to fight mana issues and maximize the auto. Do no be scared of minions, they will only serve to increase damage of your E. If you're 6, max sure you're on your third hit of R passive before jumping.

Irelia your winning, for good reason to, you're upfront burst is higher, your sustained damage is higher, stun is much longer and sustain much higher, there isn't a lot of reasons to lose the lane aside from being less skilled, but don't be scared to run high armor in your runes, you don't have to have AS, and always take 21 defense, Tenacity buffs on top of your passive make Rivens .1 second stun irrelevant and the extra armor will help you survive her just in case you get caught out after 6. Good levels to fight her are 5, 9, and 13 if you're ahead, good Irelia power spikes, nothing special for Riven.

Cho'Gath you disappoint me, I know what you're problem is, you're going AP, don't go AP, a rod of ages, maybe before it got nerfed, but other than that, just get armor, you're base damages poke are super strong vs Riven, poke her down and then eat her, you have a silence for heavens sake, these better be late game losses. Just end games faster, you're a way better champion than Riven.

Vladimir, I've had this match up so often as Riven, I built BT first to maximize sustain, late game you can destroy her in team fights since she will proabably rely on E for durability, during lane, just save your W to go back to turret every time she engages on you, it has a bullshit slow on it, making it hard for her to kill you. If Riven is good and you're bad, she will win this lane, but if you don't die, you got her beat late.

Fiora today on my team I had a top lane Riven who fed a Fiora, every fight I had with old Fiora was horrible for me, that giant green circle is there for a reason, make sure you know your champ and you should have np vs Riven.

Wukong, of course, your harass mechanics are better than hers, you're team fight ability is higher, I'm a little shocked at the 52% but I can certainly see it, you do good burst, just don't fight her if her ult is up.

Tryndamere walk into lane and auto her, she fucking sucks, just kill her, I once fought a platinum Tryndamere as Skarner (4.9 back when he did much better damage), I laughed because I had stomped Rengar the previous game and Rengar really strong at the time, Trynd was gonna be easy. He got 35% crit chance off minions and then he autoed me, first time I had every been out traded as top lane Skarner and he killed me easily at level 3. This should easily work against Riven max your crit chance and just fight her, she has pretty low kill pressure early and most Rivens don't even take ignite, so that's even less. Most of all though, best tip I can give you is to W her every fight reguardless of which was she is facing. it reduces her AD making her damage complete shit. You reduce her AD AKA you counter her. Riven is a very easy match up for Tryndamere.

Don't hate Riven, she's a lot of fun to play when you're not getting shit on and she's even more fun to play against since it's so easy to win lane vs her. Most of all though don't hate Riven because

She is voiced by Cristina Vee of whom voices anime characters such as Sailor Mars, Mio (K-On), and Louise Françoise Leblanc De La Vallière (Zero no Tsukaima) and she's a nice singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owFulRTR1Sc She has a Bunny Outfit She is designed with the idea of Marth from Fire Emblem in mind She is tough but feminine.

There is a lot to love about the character see?

Volibear

Shit on riven for literally every minute of the lane after level 2.

The bizarre thing is that you seem to be under the impression that Riven's early game is weak, and her late game is where she shines.

That's wrong. Riven is an early game champion.

I've only lost lane to Riven three times total, and have beaten her with basically every champion you've named I have played against her (Garen, Darius, Tryndamere, Cho'gath, and Shen), so I don't have a problem with her.

Oh, and Shen should certainly rush a sunfire cape against Riven. Lowers her damage and capitalizes on her squishiness and poor sustain.

Either troll or mental disability, can't tell which

Garen being too strong this patch doesn't make riven any less broken than she was last patch... or any of the other patches prior

Youre posting about defending Riven on Gameplay & Balance.

As much as I think youre correct, this board doesnt give a fuck about actual balance. They just have a circle jerk going for Riven hate.

I didnt read everything yet, probably will later, but I always go into lane against a Yasuo thinking that itll be a easy lane. Hes not really known for early game dmg, he has like no herass, hes squishy af,... But then he fucking dashes 3 times every second and slices my ass with his juicy lvl 2 crits lol. If you only play bruisers, of course you dont fear that much from Riven. If I was a Garen one trick pony, Id be more than happy to play against a Riven (idk how it as after the silence nerf, probably still the same tho). That doesnt justify anything.

Now dear OP explain why we need entire book how to play against Riven but we dont need such against other champions?
