Need more bans in ranked STAT
Three bans is simply not enough in this meta. Every single ranked game I play the first picks are going to be Jax, Xin Zhao, Master Yi and especially Udyr jungle. You basically have to waste all your bans on these champions if you don't want to deal with easy to play (strong but lower skillcap champs) every game. If you do not ban these champions, you will be fighting at least one and likely two of them in the game. I'm not saying these are the only problematic champions, but let's not kid ourselves, anyone can try them out and see how much effort it takes to do well on them. There is a reason these champions are overplayed and it isn't because most people actually like playing them. If you want to win and are not the best player, it makes sense to pick a champion that has a low skillcap and the soaring win rates.
So now that every ban is used (or wasted) on these champions like a formality, players can't even ban their counterpick. Suddenly if you go tanky top-lane, you'll be dealing with a Fiora or a Tahm Kench (% hp damage is so common now...) or a Quinn every game in the top lane, depending on which champ counters and devours your champion the hardest and is low risk/high reward. If a player bans their counterpick instead, they get screamed at by their team for not banning the most common bans like Jax, Udyr or Xin, as if that player deliberately betrayed the team or something. Not a fun situation.
It's always going to be a chronic problem getting the balance right. However, give us more bans to deal with it and not be counterpicked every game. I try to play champs I actually enjoy because the game is fun, but I'd like to see some variety from my opposition. Force players to move beyond the highest win rate champions and compete for the wins a little more. I'd say five bans would be a good start, one for each player on the team.
