Does red buff give crit chance?

I've been noticing over several games now that I've been dealing crit damage, despite not having any crit chance to being with or move forward with. What I've also been noticing is that when I have red buff, I have this random chance to deal more damage than I normally do (like 1.8-2.1x my base ad), yet it doesn't look like its adding on a crit to it...

Is there a potential reason as to why redbuff get's crit chance, or what else could be adding onto the end-game scenario where it shows my largest critical strike was near the equivlant of 2x my ad?

Red Buff doesn't give critical strike chance, just a %MS slow and true-damage burn.

That said - the post-game stats and post-death info can be a little off sometimes.

There are a few skills that the game actually considers critical strikes for the purposes of end-game numbers, such as Anivia's Frostbite against slowed targets (where it meets it's double damage scinario). I've heard of a lot more, but that's the only one I remember off the top of my head.

Running with 1 crit chance mark was a thing for a while as well, you might have also picked up crit chance in something you're overlooking.

But it's not red buff.
