Lissandra top/support

Hello guys, I really love Lissandra , but I find hard to pick her, since there are a lot of better choices for top/supp. So...how can you make her work properly? Do you go a little tanky on top...or you go utility as supp? Or do you even play her as support? xD Please help me, give me some ideas for builds or maybe some piece of advice.

In general Lissandra is in a hella weak spot overall. Her range on her abilities is too short, and it's usually really tricky deciding when or how to use her ult. I was just playing as her earlier today. I love her a lot myself and wish she was more viable, but she just isn't. The best situation I can imagine using her for is to hard engage with her e+r combo, but after that she's essentially just stuck in the middle of the enemy team for better or worse. Her kit needs a rework and she could use a better passive.

Personally, I would avoid playing her as there really are every other pick that is better and less situation than her.

Top could work if she counters someone well (it's top, so any range or mage will usually tilt them), but support wouldn't work. She offers no utility for the adc and her only CC in laning requires her to be in melee range, which is bad for a squishy.

I think she's a cool champ, and I have a cool skin for her. But she is no where near playable for ranked. If you want to just have fun go ahead but IMO not enough dmg on her abilities.

Lissandra main here. What elo are you guys talking about? I play her in mid lane against Plat players and do really good with her. I would defninitely not play her as support because of her short range and high mana costs (you don't farm so you'll try to poke more). Top lane is very situational imo. And when I do play her top I usually build her like mid.

I don't understand people saying you can't play her support. You can take almost any champion as support with some thought and preparation. That being said, you don't take them to a different position and then play/build them the same. You need to adjust to your position's needs.

I love playing as Lissandra and was S ranking her as support all season 7. This post inspired me to try her with the new rune system and I built something that I think is extremely fun to play.

The goal in my build (and from experience of playing supp liss) was this: surviving dives, slow/poke, and lane sustain

Keeping in mind that her abilities carry a lot of power on their own, your job as support isn't damage, and games are much shorter now than they used to be...

RUNES: Aftershock, Font of Life, Conditioning, Second Wind Nullifying Orb, Scorch

ITEMS: early item 3096 item 3010 item 2420

core item 2302 item 3027 item 3102 item 3157

and item 3111 or item 3047 depending on enemies

you want both item 3157 and item 3102 , but path your build depending on the enemy team's comp.

SUMMONER SPELLS: summoner 4 summoner 21

ABILITIES: Max your Q first. This is your main poke/slow. With FoL it's going to heal your adc, and at lvl 1 it does 90 damage with Scorch.

I like to get 2 points on both W & E, then max E... But follow your heart on this one.

As for your R... I use it on myself when in a team fight, but if you're soloing out one target for a kill (i.e. their adc is caught out of position) then I'll tag them with it instead or use it as a kill shot early on.

Liss is great for shutting down heavy damage dealers and take them out of fights.
You will definitely tilt a teams carry when you E/W combo them with AfterShock, use summoner 21 and item 3157 , plus Nullifying Orb triggering, and on top of that your R. They might even stop trying to kill you. (jk they will want you dead more than a swarm of killer bees).

Anyway... I'm having a lot of fun with this build. If you think of anything that might help it out or what a good 6th item would be, let me know. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
