New HUD Sucks, there's no nicer short way to say it and convey the lowest degree of disdain

Since the HUD updated I haven't noticed a positive aspect myself, nor have a heard a positive comment about it in game. Pretty commonly if someone all chats anything along the lines of "New HUD is ugly" or "OMG this HUD is crap" they're met with resounding agreement.

For my own part the new HUD is actually feeling far more invasive of my screen space than the old HUD and being more annoying overall...

For me: ~It's noticeably more in the way, especially playing from red side ~The minimap area is now just a giant cluster** of information that is poorly situated and generally hard to see. Having my allies faces and information at my disposal in the upper left part of my screen was good for me. It had its own place and was far enough out of the way to never be a problem. ~There's actually less information you can get to as far as your own character (unless they hid the clickable in a corner somewhere), you used to be able to view your specifics with armor/magic pen % and flat, particular numbers in regen rates, etcetera by clicking on the picture of your character, not so anymore. ~Dunno if they're smaller or simply less bold, but in the Tab menu, it's harder to see numbers for kills, deaths and farm... ~The team numbers did not need to be ANOTHER thing added to the minimap area, stop trying to cluster everything. Having items around the border of the screen works in all games, always has. There may be sizing issues and distribution differences, pending each company, but it's a standard method because it works. This wheel does not need reinvented. ~More just for my end, I liked being able to press Tab and see the names of whomever I was playing. It makes the game more personal and everyone's not just some generic schmuck to be forgotten. Was this one of the people you played with last game? Were they good/feeding? Unless they're extremely vocal in chat, it's just harder to remember people.

It's relatively simple fix if everyone at Riot is really gung-ho about using it, make it the default and leave the old one as an option, but I've liked supporting Riot, when I could, because it seems like the general idea is to make things better. Even if I don't always like the direction that's taken (see Karma "rework" and jungle changes), I could at least see why they were changed. This is not a move for improvement in any way shape or form that imagination can surmise.

I like the new hud. That's a way of saying it.

People are all like "I like the new HUD" it doesn't matter if you like the new HUD... even if only 20% of the player base didn't like the new HUD(and 20% of 27 million daily is still 5.4 million people) there should be an option to tick it back to classic because it affects no one but the individual player playing the game and is personal preference.

I'd rather have less info in my HUD because I know how to access it elsewhere and my muscle memory has been engrained for the past 5 years... there's no reason to re-learn it

It's terrible; agreed. The information is TOO clustered and the fonts are small making it hard for many to read.

Scaling the HUD or Minimap up doesn't help at all either...

Seriously how does that tiny life bar next to each ally give me a good indication of how much life they have?

The gray text needs to go. Thats my only issue with it. It needs to be white or something. Theres too little contrast between the blue and the gray when youre trying to get information whilst focusing on the game.

It's not a clickable, but you if you hold C they are visible above your other stats.

Good news is that they are changing the cooldown display, fonts and reducing general flashyness on lvlup and skills coming off cooldown. http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/07/red-post-colllection-meddler-on-shens.html
