Why can't we turn off autofill in ranked? Or not have it affect our LP?

I would, a billion times over, rather wait longer than be forced to play support. There are enough hardcore trolls and feeders in bronze that I have to carry without being severely disadvantaged by being put into a support position. Also losing a ranked game where I was forced to play support just ruins my whole day. If Riot wants people to play support, why not improve the effect that the position has on the game (dramatically) so people want to play it rather than forcing people to play it?

Also what do people do when they're forced to play support in bronze? Should I just try to play a carry out of the support position, since traditional supporting won't do anything at all in bronze?

Support already has a very very big impact on the game. People just don't like to play supporting roles. It's like that in literally every single game. Just as an example, healers in WoW pretty much are always in high demand because a lot less people play them, yet they're undeniably extremely important. You just don't really understand how much a good support can impact a game and carry.

Carrying doesn't have to mean you have the best k/d/a or the most damage.

If you can't carry your team in bronze then you dont deserve to leave it

Making supports more powerful is not how you get more people to play support.

Support is a lifestyle/playstyle.
