Given how incredibly laggy the new client is, could we please get some lee way with penalties?

It's annoying as hell that upgrading the client has cost me LP and time because I can't pick my bans/picks fast enough in champion select. More than once I've 'dodged' because the client takes 5 seconds to load up a champion after i type in their name. This never once happened with the old client, it feels like I'm being punished because of the bad client design
